Let's not. No club bias involved, and I have nothing against the Roosters. McKinnon will be no chance due to injury, but is a hell of a lot better than Minichiello at fullback. Hodgson is better than both of them. Reputation shouldn't be what Origin teams are picked on, unfortunately they are. Minichiello's constant selection is proof of this, despite Hodgson, McKinnon, and even Hornby being better players.

Riiiigggghhhtttt.... You obviously know better than the NSW and Australian selectors  (Note to self, ignore future posts from Bazal who has N.F.I)

Wade McKinnon is NO CHANCE for the simple fact he is not good enough to steal a City v Country job let alone NSW, but if it helps you sleep better at night, denial ain't that bad a thing.

I take it you never watch the kid play then? He's a better defensive fullback than anyone in the competition, I'll never forget him smashing Joel Clinton last year in the last line of defence. He makes more metres per game than Minichiello (2004 he was 2nd highest metre gainer just behind the Count, having played only 11 games!! And holds the NRL record for metres gained in a single match), is just as safe under the high ball and positionally flawless.

The reason he can't get a City jersey is one Brett Hodgson, I'm sure you've heard of him? The guy who can't jag an Origin jersey because of Minichiello? Not because he's not good enough you blithering idiot.

You are right about one thing. He's no chance at Origin this year, because of injury and the fact that Minichiello, even if he was playing like Karmichael Hunt, would be a shoe-in.

(I apologise to others in this thread for responding to the troll, but I'm in a fighting mood.)

You appologise for responding to my post? Get over yourself. All we have here is another 'homer' fan by the name Bazal unable to see past his own team/players...again, N.F.I at all.

2004 Stats

A. Minichello (NSW-Australian fullback)

Line-breaks: 21 (3rd in NRL)
Running metres: 4156m @ 189m per/gm (1st in NRL)
Return metres: 1731m @ 10.4m per return (1st in NRL)
Tackle breaks: 121 (1st in NRL)

W. McKinnon (Eels fullback)

Line-breaks: (no stat found)
Running metres: 2915m @ 171m per/gm (12th in the NRL)
Return metres: 1306m @ 10.2m per return (5th in the NRL)
Tackle breaks: 107 (2nd in NRL)

Apart from tackle breaks, the only stat McKinnon came in 2nd over Minichello was in 'Running metres per game' not as the "2nd highest metre gainer". The 2nd highest metre gainer was Clinton Schifcofske in both 'Running metres' and 'Return metres'...but you knew that didn't you

Wade McKinnon is talented, though to label him ahead of the current NSW and Australian fullback is full of team bias whether you like to admit it or not. It is rather embarassing if truth be known, McKinnon would be behind not only Minichello but also; Hodgson, Hornby and Stewart...and that is only New South Welshman! We then have Bowen, Slater, Wesser, Schifcofske and Hunt, your boy is a way down the pecking order. Hell, there is an argument for a fully fit Adam MacDougall being a better option as well.

This was hillarious:

"The reason he can't get a City jersey is one Brett Hodgson, I'm sure you've heard of him? The guy who can't jag an Origin jersey because of Minichiello? Not because he's not good enough you blithering idiot."

So, the reason he cannot get a City jersey is simply because he is not better than Brett Hodgson who is unable to get a NSW jersey because of Minichello...hmm, this is because McKinnon is not good enough to unsurp either player. You agree with me

Wade Mckinnon currently fits under the category of "solid first grader". You make rep teams when you start to show that you're a genuine matchwinner. Mckinnon is not that.

Wade McKinnon is JUST a solid first grader. The way parra fans go on and on and on about this guy resembles alot the way Canberra fans go on about Schicofske. Both are solid first graders but when it comes to Rep selection both are well done the list. Yet when they do miss out on selection their respective fans post conspiracy theories about the selection process etc etc.

IMO Pecking order for NSW fullbacks

Mini
Hornby
Hodgson
Stewart
Macdougall
Patten
Mckinnon
Peachey

Unless he is injured, it will be Anthony Minichello who still remains the best fullback in the game despite the hype surrounding Wesser, Slater, Schifcofske and Bowen.

Minichiello is one of the worst. Look at a tape of the 2003 GF, where the Panthers targeted him with kicks all night, and he succumbed to the pressure.

The reason the Roosters haven't been able to win since 2002 is because Minichiello isn't half the fullback Luke Phillips was. He was a genuine fullback, Minichiello is a f**king pretender who is nothing more than a mere winger.

Lockyer will destroy him with his kicks in SOO when he plays fully fit.
Bullshit! Minichello played brilliantly in every game of 2003 up until the grand final in which he wasnt as great(although it was in slippery conditions which is a bitch when playing fullback). He was man of the series in the tri-nations last year and have you watched his last three games? He was brilliant against the bulldogs and also against the Kiwi's and had a top performance on Anzac Day. Plus his defence has improved alot this season, he's a made a few good try saving tackles, on Anzac day making a couple and very close to a third with the one on Cooper. Minichello will be NSW fullback and rightly so.

Its the strangest thing, I wasn't able to find your No 2,3 & 4 fullbacks in NSW picked in the City/Country teams. Surley they wouldn't give Hornby the job over Peachey and Stewart would they?

That is of course unless your just a sad case WITH NO IDEA!!!!!!

Here is a tip champ. Why don't you give netball a try if you get tired of being wrong
