Knights beat Dogs 26-18.

Lead 26-4 at H/T but played into a gale in the second half.

Will Smith was MOTM.

Entertaining game.

It sounds like people here are hoping, or would be happy if Costigan went back to NSW Cup, played poorly and played out the rest of the season there. Why shouldn't we be wanting him to get back to his best form?

He was a big part of St George's push for the Premiership in 2010. Having all of our players playing to their full potential creates extra competition for places in the first grade team. It helps when players are called up to cover for injuries or suspension.

I hope he goes back to NSW Cup, gets to play in the one position and not be moved between the front row, back row and hooker, and finds his old form again- even if that form is not enough for him to push his way back into the top 17.

It has been reported a lot of late that he has a chronic knee injury. So I dare say he is unable to produce what he was able to in 2010. I would love for him to get back to his hard running and aggressive Best. I just struggle to see it happening.

Costigan really didn't stand out in the game, he certainly didnt look like a FGer playing down, Hilder had a great game.

There were a couple of monsters in the Knights pack who outplayed Costigan. Will Smith had a good game and the big winger Manatello (?) was very good along with the Matauia (?) brothers. Leulia was another who didn't stand out.

Big Toka Likiliki is an absolute weapon. Needs at least 3 or 4 guys to bring him down, bends the line on every run and just makes huge metres. His fitness isn't great and he can get a bit sloppy in D, but hopefully that will get better with more games in NSW Cup. Looking forward to the day we unleash him in FG though.

Hilder looked great, so did Tets IMO.

Tets looked like the first grader playing down.

looks like wyong roos might be our second feeder club next yr, in talk with them. didnt understand why they werent in the first place when they joined the nsw cup this yr.

we will get a massive advantage being able to develop double the amount of juniors and retain older guys as depth who would otherwise retire or go on peanuts to other clubs.
