Sounds like quite a tight game (what was the quality like?) that would seem to confirm (if it ever needed to be) that the Qld Cup is of the same standard as the NSWRL Premier League.
I would love to see more of these games. In fact, I would love to see an Australian version of the UK's Challenge Cup (or at least a pre-season knock-out competition) where clubs at this level get to play amongst themselves and progress to take on NRL opposition. Pity it will never happen due to the boring old "we play too many games" brigade.
The drastic decline that occured in the Brisbane Competition after the Broncos came along is a modern sporting tragedy, so its heartening to see these kinds of games being organised and the Queensland competition entering a renaissance over the last couple of years.
