Interesting idea

But not sure if its worth it to be used for one week a year

But I like the idea of having a training field beside ANZ so players can warm.up on rather than the main field

The NSWRL seem consumed by origin & trying to white-ant the NRL, doubt they do much else. Run by dinosaurs, for dinosaurs.

I assume that you're of the opinion that this will further divide the state leagues with the commission?

What about the QRL?

I just hope they make it Match Day friendly....

There isnt much to do at Homebush before or after games, a museum and a Leagues club on the bottom floor would be brilliant.

Seems a waste of money to me for a team that plays three games a year.

No more camps in Coffs Harbour then?

Says it all about the dinosaurs running the NSWRL, just can't play ball if they aren't in charge. Meanwhile, the game in NSW suffers as these people would rather use the NSWRL to play politics against the ARLC/NRL. Who's on the NSWRL board again...

“It’s a great innovation on NSW’s part to be able to have a centre like that based at Homebush but they’re leaving Rugby League Central which is disappointing," Betros said.

“We’re in the middle of setting up a home for rugby league in Brisbane that will include the ARLC and NSW are doing the exact opposite.

“I find that a bit odd but that’s their decision and nothing to do with me.”

Haha wow, and here I was thinking it was all planned from the ARLC down.

I really should've known better...

In the announcement video Peponis said he spoke to Grant 'a few days ago' and he thanked Grant for assuring them they would receive the same support, 'financial & non-financial', that the ARLC gave the QRL for it's new HQ.

The NSWRL goes out of it's way to distinguish itself from the governing body and you have a situation where Sydney NRL club chairs are directors on the NSWRL Board using their grievances with the NRL on NRL club issues to create division between the NRL & NSWRL. Then you consider the fact that under the ARLC constitution the NSWRL is a voting member, so along with the Roosters & Bulldogs, Politis, Dib and Peponis effectively can sway the vote of the NSWRL as well.

I remember when the ARLC was formed, Trodden, Politis, Dib & Gould formed their short lived 'clubs association' in a pathetic attempt to remain powerbrokers, but it pretty much disappeared because the clubs wouldn't follow their lead and blindly accept what they wanted.

I have no problem with a training base near the ground that they can use in the lead up to and right before the game. Splitting offices is ridiculous. It's a waste and goes against what the ARLC was meant to do.

I went to UFC in Melbourne on the weekend. Gotta say that group know how to run a sport and an event. Our guys just look like amateur hour!

No money to replicate the Qld Cup in NSW and take the game into the bush but $20m to erect a crystal palace as a shrine so the bush folk can visit it at easter show time at Homebush as they fondly recall a time with the game was played out their way!!
