As a QLDer I would prefer it if Watmough started.

His darting runs coming off the bench have been incredibly dangerous around the middle of the field. Having him start on an edge lessens his impact IMO.

ssshhhh let them have it.

That split second shot is all those mexicans have to cling to after so many years of failure

No, we cling to the fact we have more to live for in NSW than Origin

Congratulations on another series win btw

Two games at Suncorp and a likely NSW loss would tend to indicate that it will be two completely different halves next year.

It'll most likely be two different halves by game two. It won't make a f**king jot of difference. QLD are so far superior to NSW that comparing the sides is like comparing an brand new Audi to a 20 year old Hyundai.

Queensland have Cronk, Daley Cherry Evans, Inglis, Slater and Thurston - arguably five of the best players in the game at the moment. All of them in the top 10.

NSW have Hayne and Farah. That's it and I doubt both of them would be in the top 10. Neither would be top 5.

Of the other players who could be considered "top 10 best players in the World" you'd have to say James Graham, SBW, Sam Burgess & Kieran Foran would have to be up there.

NSW have in all likelihood one player you'd consider a definite top 10 player. In a fight - five against one isn't a f**king contest. Queensland will tear holes in NSW all night. If NSW score a single try and let in less than 40 points I'd consider it a job well done.

And yet they only lost by 2 points last year and 1 the year before. You're forgetting Gallen, him and Hayne would be in the top 10. Farrah and Fifita would be on the fringe and when origin time comes around Greg Bird would also be in the top 10.

And btw you left out Cameron Smith.

Please. I've watched Idris for almost his whole career and atm he looks fitter than ever. The fact that you pinpoint his lateral weaknesses and don't even realise how good his defence has been over the last two seasons due to his positioning makes me wonder if you've even watched him play over the last 2 years.

You watch league but rate Tyrone Roberts an origin standard player????. f**k off you imbecile.

We've all seen Jamals career so far. He's already at club number 3 and it's a fact he is a poor trainer and hard to get fit due to attitude and lack of application to diet etc. He's nowhere near as fit as he could be. The fact you base good defense on the ability to monster an opponent most of the time but overlook the occasions where he is caught by a quicker man and unable to move quickly enough in certain directions to contain his opposite shows you don't understand what his weaknesses are or how they can be exposed.

I really rate Roberts, he's very underrated and if i could I'd have him there instead of Hodkinson. I would still have Williams in the side though to give us that extra punch out wide. I think with Fifita missing we'll really need it to dominate.

Lol. You need to stop posting in here mate. You're embarrassing yourself. Next you'll be campaigning for Chris Houston to get a run.

While we don't have the talent to match QLD, anything can happen in Origin and let's hope this team can create another footnote in Origin history with one of the biggest upsets ever.....at least twice

The last line is a little OTT, Origin is always closer than it should be, it's just the nature of it... QLD should win every game comfortably, but they'll likely win the series 2-1, for some reason sweeps are rare.

But otherwise, 100% agree
If you compiled a list of the games top 25 players, QLD would have the top 5 clean and probably 12-15 players collectively in that group.
NSW would maybe have 2 top 10 players as you said, maybe 6 all up.

We're just outmatched right now, talent wise.

How many times has Jamal been run around this season? He is as good as any centre in the game defensively, his timing and positioning have been almost perfect all year.

I agree he isnt as fit as he could be but to act like he is a liability in defense is very stupid.

Especially his last month or so he has been great. He gets plenty of traffic as he has Soward next to him. Lewis and Farah haven't played much recently both were picked.

I really like the team actually, considering who is out. I think this is the best team avaiable.

A good thing is that everyone is in form for club, i can't remember the last time we had everyone in some sort of form.
Even QLD this year have named some players who's form is left back in 2013.

I'll support this team on Wednesday night, I think we will surprise a lot of people

The optimism about this team is perplexing. The 2nd row is disastrous and the halves will do bugger all and be duly discarded after one game. QLD will win by 30.
