Good thing they included Beau Scott.

With Lyon out we would've been down to 3 specialist centres in the squad. Very clever and savvy play by the selectors to get it back up to 4....

I guess they MUST be thinking of starting Hayne at fullback now - otherwise why draft Dugan in? But IF they do that, then where is the 'captain' Gidley going to play? I suppose it would be at half of 5/8 - but then Barrett and Pearce are both in the squad - so does one of them miss out?

Peculiar squad - in fact, terrible squad. Again they only manage to pick 3 specialist front row forwards in a squad of 21 players - and White/ King are craptastic compared to the option of either Snowden/ Douglas or Mannah. Thing is, Perry was a sensible selection ahead of King since Perry's club form is vastly superior to Kings (not saying he SHOULD be picked) - the prop who has been the best for Manly this season is Kite. But not selected.

Sorry to say it, but I'm thrilled Hindy is in the squad, however the selectors are still morons and have picked another bunch of duds (I don't include Hindy in that - he should've been there from the start).

Yeah Scott will play off the bench as a backrower/utility back if Lewis is out IMO...That squad implies Gidley will play 6, with Hayne or Dugan at the back...so they need a utility of sorts, hence Beau Scott. Hopefully he's really there to play instead of Idris though, he's just woeful.

Happy for Hindy, but FFS we need props....Mannah, Douglas, Snowden anyone??

the tip is that kidley will come off the bench no matter wether hayne or dugan plays, and that's why they've chosen to ommit the c.

To be fair, at least Scott is a genuine backrow option....he might be playing centre now but he's had plenty of runs in the backrow. Of course, I still don't agree with the selection...but it's a much better one than that fat lazy lump Idris

Idris will be in the side. Bellamy seems in love with him for some reason. I think Hindy will miss out too considering they've named 8 backrowers in the 21.

We still haven't picked any props - and Idris is STILL the door defensively...

Instead of picking the same idiots who lost the series last year, they should've picked the best team ON FORM this year from game 1. It's already too late now that they basically flushed game 1 down the toilet...

But why pick the same mugs again who consistently show they've got nothing.... (White, Gidley, Creagh)

Yeah I can't believe King was chosen over Mannah and Kane Snowden. King's a good player, but if he's an origin player why the f**k hasn't he been picked for origin before his 29th birthday. Shows how imcompetent the NSW selectors are. I think your backrow will be identical to the one the selectors choose.
