I tend to agree Reefy. The question I have is if Wallace was preferred halfback, why not have a run in the spot for the lead up rep game. This is just like last year with Mullen. Our pack had better aim up to give him some time.

Anthony Quinn........BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

pleeeeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeee.

I'm glad that pretender White is there. Hopefully big Charlie Webb will get the chance to shorten the impostor up.

Did anyone see Ben Cross last night? Folded under the pressure of the occasion. Terrible.

I still reckon Anasta should have been picked.
He did well last year and has a sound kicking game...plus he is a big merkin.
Although Wallace could turn out to be a good move...the QLD's would win with our team.

I like Wallace and called him as the likely half weeks ago.

Reminds me of Fred Dennehy.

They went with experience last year, Hindmarsh, Ryan and Simpson. All 3 were poor.

Which game was Hindmarsh poor in?
The first one where he scored a try,NSW led by 12 and he was benched when Mason was injured, the second one when he did 41 tackles in 57 minutes with no errors or the 3rd one where NSW won.
Wasnt it last year he set an NRL record of 75 tackles in a game against Melbourne that Parra lost?(round 23).

I don't think Hindy has ever been poor TBH. But, time comes when directions have to be changed, new blood has to be infused and new combos forged. For NSW this is the right time. Quite simply, the Blues haven't been winning with the tried and true but come good in Game 3 when the new blood comes in.

However I see no reason to speak down about great servants like Hindy, Fitz, Rhino and Simpson.

It's just that the circle has turned for those boys

I think Hindmarsh was more a victim of poor coaching than any drop of form to be honest.

That said with a new bunch of backrowers coming through I think it's time we tried something different. Sticking with the tried and tested hasn't worked for us the past 2 years.

I trust Bellamy to come up with a smarter game plan than any other coach selected could against a very awesome Queensland side.

Will be interesting to see how he rotates the forwards and when and how Hornby is used.

Glad to see Anasta, Hindmarsh and Ryan not in the team.

Anasta is unreliable.

Hindmarsh developed into just a tackling machine. Others selected in front of him have a similar workrate in defence and much better attack than he has showed in previous years.

Ryan is sadly out of form.

Also glad that the Wok and Bee Sting head didn't influence selectors.

Not a great fan of Kite.
But I thought he had a good game in the Test match and a great game against Brisbane. Surprised he's not in the team yet....

Frenzy and Inferno put it better than I. And that is what I was trying to say.
Hindmarsh, Ryan and Simpson have served NSW for a long time, great players in their day, but there are younger, stronger, more skillfull back rowers that are capable of doing alot more than just tackling.

Like it was said, we've gone with the tried and tested players the last 2 years and haven't won the trophy, we blood new blokes game 3 last year and win convincingly.

I dont laugh at him as a 5/8 at all. he does well. I would just prefer we(Sharks) had a better 5/8 so he could play in the forwards.
Trent to 5/8?

qld's 6?????

WTF?

They have too many good players. They can stick anyone in at 5/8.
We should get a complete rimming.

Trent would certainly be a better 5/8 than half, but he'd even be better off as a centre.

Bob McCarthy couldn't pick a scab.
Bozo a dud selector. Always has his own agendas.

QLD should win they make up the integral parts of the Oz side,
but the Shark boys will give it to them for 80.

Lafranchi.
He will be the usual NSW selection.
Everybody writes him up as the a certainty, then he gets picked. We get beat and every man and his dog is calling for his axing.
happens every year.

Blokes who stand out in first grade - Hindmarsh, Menzies, Kite, Ryan - they go into SOO and don't make a whimper.
QLD pick toilers like Dallas Johnson and Lillyman. Blokes who don't go into the game thinking their going to make 50 mtre breaks and score a double on debut.
They roll up their sleeves and do the job for 80.

We'd be better picking a bloke like Alan Tongue (is he NSWelshman?). Would hunt runners all night and tackle his nuts off.
