I have watched a lot of SG Ball and NYC games this year and I must say I disagree with the side chosen. Obviously there are some that were selected that I'd pick in my team, but others would not feature. Obviously form is a big factor but also team dynamics come into play when selecting such a very important team. If I were a selector, I would have chosen the following side:

1. William Hopoate Manly Sea Eagles
2. Jacob Gagan Parramatta Eels
3. Cheyse Blair Sydney Roosters
4. Luke Pickerd Cronulla Sharks
5. Brayden Williame Melbourne Storm
6. Jason Wehbe Parramatta Eels
7. Jacob Miller Sydney Roosters
8. Matthew Groat Western Suburb Magpies
9. Chad Redman Newcastle Knights
10. Jack Stockwell St George Illawarra Dragons
11. Dane Atkinson Sydney Roosters
12. Lachan Burr Canterbury Bulldogs
13. Alex McKinnon (c) St George Illawarra Dragons

14. Junior Paulo Parramatta Eels
15. Inno Innosesio Western Suburb Magpies
16. Jacob Loko Parramatta Eels
17. Alai Taufaao Newcastle Knights
Yep, from what i've seen your side is better.

In regards to Hopoate's omission from the side, I can only see one possible reason other than the selectors stupidity to be ignorant. I think he will debut the weekend before Origin. Just last year, Matthew Wright was chosen in this side only for him to be playing NRL the weekend before this fixture which meant Dylan Farrell replaced him as a late inclusion. The selectors might have enquired about Hopoate's availability for this game and maybe couldn't have got a guarantee he would be made available by Manly. Just a thought.

If he was fit for the end of the SG Ball season would you have picked Vaipuna Tia Kilifi?

Maybe I would have him on the bench but it'd be a toss up between him and Inno Innosesio, who was outstanding for the Magpies in SG Ball this year. I really rate Vaipuna Tia Kilifi very highly, but he isn't as consistent as what you'd expect from a player with his talent and size.

I tried that at the TAB once. Told the guy my team scored more tries than the opposition, didn't work there either I'm afraid.
