Does anyone know what Blake Ayshford's junior club is ?
I'm not sure.

He played SG Ball for the Roosters. But they get their players from anywhere and everywhere.

He went to Endeavour Sports High.

Let us know if you find out.

Chase Stanley has been ruled out of the match with injury.

Heka Nanai from Canterbury Jersey Flegg is his replacement.

SOUTH Sydney junior Eddie Paea shrugged off a knockout blow to draw first blood for NSW on State of Origin night at Suncorp Stadium.

Halfback Paea broke a 10-all stalemate with a solo darting try that gave the young Blues a gritty 14-10 Under 19 interstate victory over Queensland tonight.

The playmaker had to rise off the canvas to play the entire second half of the Origin curtain-raiser after being dazed by a stray elbow in attempting to tackle Maroons lock Josh McGuire.

His game-breaking try 15 minutes from full-time still left the visitors with some tense moments as the Queenslanders attacked desperately but were withheld by stout defence.

The match was played on a knife-edge with less than six points between the evenly-matched sides throughout.

While Paea and Parramatta prop Tim Mannah stood out for the Blues, the star of the show was Queensland centre and Northern Territory-product Will Chambers.

Chambers, the son of a Gove mining supervisor who idolises Blues winger Matt King, scored both of the Maroons tries with brilliant evasive skills and pace.

The 18-year-old scored a try in his NRL debut for Melbourne against the Roosters on the weekend and showed why the Storm's recruitment team is considered the best in the business.

It took NSW six minutes to put their stamp on the match when Penrith prop Tim Grant barged over under the posts after gaining good field position from a chargedown.

But the young Maroons levelled the scores from the next set of six with Chambers latching on to a second-man play and burning his rival centre to score untouched.

The scores remained 6-all for the rest of the half as NSW bravely defended their line with Queensland enjoying the lion's share of possession.

Canberra winger Michael Brophy regained the lead for NSW straight after the break by scoring in the left corner from a perfect cut-out pass by dummy-half Masada Iosefa before Chambers quickly hit back in a carbon copy of the first half.

Queensland's second-string U19s tasted success in the first curtain-raiser, overcoming Papua New Guinea U19s 36-12 after scores were deadlocked 12-all at half-time.

NSW U19s 14 (T Grant, M Brophy, E Paea tries; E Paea goal) bt Queensland U19s 10 (W Chambers 2 tries; C Sandow goal).

*********

It is good to hear that North Sydney's Eddie Paea played well.

Although it sounds like he might not be able to back-up for the Bears in Premier League this Saturday.

Has anyone heard how Eddie Pettybourne went?

Good to see both Panther players having a hand in a couple of the tries, with big Tim Grant scoring one of them.

TEEN sensation Will Chambers may be only one game into his NRL career, yet he looked like a representative player for years to come, starring in Queensland’s tense 14-10 loss to New South Wales in Under 19s.

Scoring two tries and providing the edge to Queensland competitive spirit, the Norths Devils and Melbourne Storm centre was a clear standout before a heaving Suncorp Stadium crowd.

Born in Brisbane, but raised in Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory, he has confirmed his desire to play for the Sunshine State after graduating from Nudgee College.

His display was a soothing ailment to a game where Queensland could not summon a game-breaking try, despite having 25 minutes to do so.

Unlike the main game where the team in Maroon seized the day, in the Under 19s it was the Blues who found something special.

The pivotal play of the contest came with 16 minutes on the clock at 10-all, as winger Heka Nanai was forced to clean up a ball in-goal.

Met by a wall of defenders, Nanai defied the odds to wriggle through and plant the ball narrowly in the field of play, avoiding a goal-line drop-out.

A minute later New South Wales was down the other end of the paddock and scoring through halfback Eddie Paea. It was a remarkable effort from Paea, bouncing back after being the subject of serious medical attention only moments beforehand.

Not that he was shown any sympathy by fierce competitor Chambers, receiving a non-too-subtle push after lingering around the Maroons in the postscript to his try.

Indeed, Chambers was seemingly involved in everything, his tries in the 9th and 43rd minutes only telling half the story. The slippery customer also went within a whisker in the 17th minute, while his aggressive defence at the back end of the game was inspirational.

Another to inspire was tiny fullback Chris Sandow, at one stage trying to shoulder charge Blues monster Tim Mannah in a one-on-one situation in open field. Yet Sandow came off second best and could never quite find the touch that made him a hero in Under 17s the year before.

Queensland’s struggle for penetration when the game was on the line came with the knowledge that the likes of Israel Folau, Joel Moon and David Taylor were unavailable to play.

Folau was ruled ineligible after playing the majority of his football this year in the NRL, while Moon and Taylor had to be withdrawn after featuring in Monday night’s clash between the Brisbane Broncos and Manly Sea Eagles.

NEW SOUTH WALES U19 14 (Michael Brophy, Eddie Paea, Tim Grant tries; Eddie Paea goal) d QUEENSLAND U19 10 (Will Chambers 2 tries; Chris Sandow goal) at Suncorp Stadium.

**************************************

Interesting to see the qrl website whinging about losing Israel Folau, Dave Taylor and Joel Moon.

NSW were missing Jarryd Hayne, Mitchell Pearce, Michael Jennings Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Chase Stanley.
