That is the part i heard. There was something else that I missed so I cannot comment on. Either way, racism has no place in sport especially in a junior competition.

Luke Pickerd Cheyse Blair from the Australian team last year

Anyone else other than the grand finalists

They have picked 10 so far so I'm assuming they will pick 7 more (squad of 17) from the Parramatta and Penrith teams on Saturday.

Thats what I thought

Could be 8 or 9 players for an 18 or 19 man squad Any under 16 players in the SG Ball teams

The team needs a fullback winger centre halfback a hooker or utility and two or three from prop and backrow

Junior Rep Grand Finals
Saturday, 17th May 2008

A crowd of almost 2500 people descended on Western Weekender Stadium today to see two upset wins in the NSW Rugby League Junior Representative Grand Finals.

The Parramatta Eels are the new Harold Matthews Cup Premiers today after handing the Penrith Panthers their first loss of the season.

The Eels’ 30-17 win against the defending premiers secured them their 17th Harold Matthews Cup title – a NSWRL record.

The second upset of the day saw the Sydney Roosters down Parramatta 38-20, denying the Eels back-to-back titles.

Spurred on by the presence of their first-grade coach Brad Fittler and his entire squad, it is only the second time in history the tri-colours have won the SG Ball Cup.

There was some consolation for the losing teams today with Vaipuna Tia Kilifi (Penrith, Harold Matthews) and Tim Auremi (Parramatta, SG Ball) winning the Junior Representative Player of the Year awards.

I went to North Sydney's Junior Rep awards tonight and here is a bit of a report.

To start with thankyou’s went out to all the coaches, trainers, players, parents etc.

Kevin Nicholls (Harold Matthews coach) and Gary Armstrong (SG Ball coach) both gave nice speeches.

Kevin mentioned the fact that Mitchell Pearce was in the same position as the current Bears players only a few seasons ago. Mitchell was part of the Bears Harold Matthews squads in 2004 and 2005 before being signed by the Roosters and now he is in the NSW State of Origin side. He also made mentioned that Liam Foran’s achievement of his Nrl debut with the Melbourne Storm. Liam is a local junior from Asquith Magpies who progressed through all the grades from Harold Matthews, SG Ball, Jersey Flegg and Premier League before being signed by the Bears former feeder club Melbourne.

Kevin thanked the Bears NSW Cup coach Wayne Lambkin and his assistant Greg Boulos who would help coach the sides once a week and also thanked Greg Florimo for all his hard work running the club.

Kevin also gave special thanks to the SG Ball players who have now played their 3rd year for the Bears after starting out in the Harold Matthews team in 2006 – Jayson Lombardo, Casey Faets, Dane Stretton, Justin Joudo and Josh Nicholls (fourth year).

All the players came up the front and received their jerseys.

The award winners were:

Harold Matthews (Under-16s) awards
Players’ Player went to prop Jefferson Afele
Coaches award went to winger Shane Brown
Best forward went to lock Aaron Chan Chui
Best back went to halfback Luke Keary
Player of the Year went to fullback Bevan De Vries

SG Ball (Under-18s) awards
Coaches award went to utility forward Nashaat Zreika
Best back went to winger Jason Tanuvasa
Best forward went to hooker Casey Faets
Player of the Year went to second rower Jonathan Neasey
Players’ Player went to second rower Jonathan Neasey

As players accepted their awards those who weren't too shy gave a speech. There were also nice speeches made by captains Aidan Carney (Harold Matthews) and Josh Nicholls (SG Ball). They all thanked their coaches, parents, team mates etc. and said they have all learnt a lot this year and made a lot of great mates.

It’s also worth pointing out that the Bears SG Ball five-eighth Dylan Farrell has been signed by the South Sydney Rabbitohs and he is currently the starting five-eighth in the Rabbitohs Toyota Cup (Under-20s) team. The Rabbitohs are the Bears current Nrl feeder team and Dylan is the fifth Bears junior to play in the South Sydney Under-20s team joining John Kaifoto, Chris Farrell, Brad Lupi and Mitch Williams.

I'm not sure when it's out. There is a different draw every year and it doesn't have an impact on who plays who in the trials.
