NYC v Knights

That's funny - but mostly because he is 115kg and has played prop all year till now.
The scarey thing is that big Josh is 17 and could have played Ball this year.

That is reallllllllly scary, he is like 115 kg and fast.

He looks about 35 aswell.

We were all saying pick him for grade he looks the goods.

I don't know..... Troy Pezet had a year to rival this when he was Flegg coach.

That was a special year, he had KK at lock ffs!!! He was awful!!!!

They gave him one more chance and I think he won the SG Ball the year after didn't he?

I do believe Daisy is worse though......they are just not playing for each other at all!

I hope they find a decent coach for the poor boys next year

I'm tipping the boke who hd to relinquish the role this year to quietly step back in it like nothing ever happened...;-)

head coach: DA
assistant: Peter Sharp
NYC and 2nd assistant: Matt Cameron.

Wenty: ????

The game was a debacle.

The NYC is nowhere near 2nd-tier footy. A proper reserve grade is needed if the clubs are serious about getting big crowds consistently.

Keep these guys as the thirds - or even better - play Commonwealth bank cup games as the third match - at least the schoolboys have some heart and put in some defence.

This isn't just a rant against our blokes either - the comp is crap.

Are you serious? Ok they aren't big on defence but damn there is some talent out there floating around in the under 20's comp!

It certainly needs some tweaking but i wouldn't call it crap by an means.......

I have heard rumours, but I really hope the Wenty panel doesnt change. Those men get so much out of the players, and from all reports (and results on the field) the boys love playing for them. I for one will be very sad if Rippa is shown the door. :(

The talent will still be there. And so will the mediocrity. Problem is, having an age restricted comp as the 2nd tier guarantees that there will be more chumps than champs.

I am not saying that there is no place for U20's - I am saying that it has failed to find a place as the back up for NRL on match day. Crowds avoid it and there is next to no relevance to the NRL side.

It could be a third tier to a proper reserve grade. Reserves are what is missing at the ground.

Its not like there are any 20's side that are different guys, they all let in try upon try, they all suck at defending...its just that some attack better.

it is a big step to jump up from TYC to NRL, so much so that player like Ant Mitchell are being asked to play for Wenty prior to making the transition to the NRL

it really is like a 3rd grade

Take that to the bank Stagger.....

FWIW, Daisy has already been told he wont be required next year....

Pretty scary to think that Hagan and Daisy were in charge of our team last few years - and almost this year too.

OK, first of all I didn't really want to bring this up especially after the game the boys just had.. leading 12-0 and then at 18-12 I zoned out.. but no.18 today Kenny Sio I cannot express how fkn proud I was to see him play today [when I finally realised it was him ].
I watched that boy play Bundy Cup at the start of the yr and was proud just to see him make it to the NSW Cup squad.
I had been told that he was signed to play NYC next yr but to see him play it tonight.. F**k it was good :D

Different subject here.. but if we were to get rid of Rip for Wenty.. I'd be so upset . He's such a great coach, those boys love to play under him and he's got no problem coming from Wyong 3-4 times a week for these boys [unlike Daisy] and I think it would just be wrong to show him the door
