Ive been watching the Titans and Proctor hasnt been that good. Even some Titans fans on this forum have preferred Zeb Taia and thats why I thought Kidwell wouldnt pick him. Anyway Kidwell paid for it as Thaiday was a nightmare for Proctor.

Stats tonight do not reflect score at all.
So it's those 1% plays/things that make such a huge difference.
Kiwis 3 more errors and 10 more missed tackles.

Bromwich 160m
Mannering 116m

Too much ball to Johnson for shit kicks and hot potato offloading the ball asap. Looked good when he ran the ball. He's not an organizer so get that 7 off his back already. Taumalolo very good but too late in the game before he was used properly. Mannering? Fantastic as always. Rapana? Same. Packer was very good on return. f**k the Warriors really miss him now.... Kidwell? GORRRNNNNN!!!! Still has no idea how to use his bench. Taupau and Kodi should have been on much sooner. Taupau should have been starting actually. Proctor on bench?

f**king depressing. Luck went Kangaroos way early and downhill from there. Needed to start well (early points). Bugger....

Normally, Johnson would sit up at least half those grubbers in goal for a repeat set, but the Roos line just rushed at SJ all night like a good defending team should do when theyre on their own line.

Big difference between the NRL and playing the Roos. I think the Roos piled on the pressure but they also played the game really quick. Cronk and Thurstons plays at the end just gift wrapped their beautiful sets. Im not necessarily talking about the sets where they scored as there was some nice meter eating ones.

Ferguson and Dugan are their x-factor players. We dont really have any other than SJ and Taumalolo with Taumalolo the only one the Roos would pick for their team. The Roos also got OTHER x-factor players like Inglis who wasnt playing. Nelson Asofa Solomona needs another with him if were to stand a chance at the RWC, otherwise its simply not enough.

Pretty generous on RTS, I thought he was terrible for most of the game esp with those knock-ons and missed tackles.
Forgot about those, one knock on he got away with. See, even the reff was on our side in that second half. We aint shit.

Yeah 8 is generous, its the try that stood out for me.

I was thinking the minimum number of the spine we would have to swap to get the win.

Eg just Smith for Luke.

I'd say 2.
Cronk & Thursdon for SJ & Foran.
Cronk and Smith?

Id go for Thurston personally but you can't go wrong with any of them. Both Cronk and Thurston have good game management but I like JTs last tackle plays. Oh Id go with either Cronk or Thurston. Id say one.

As good as our spine was, I'd probably take every member of their 1, 6, 7, 9 over ours.

RTS v Boyd is pretty close.

No probably in it, their spine is better full stop - Smith is quite frankly a freak, one of the greatest footballers ever, like him or hate him he's phenomenal. Everybody loves Thurston, but Cronk is pretty underrated imo, he's just quality, and Boyd is a clever player (and in reality another all time great is actually their best fullback).

RTS vs Boyd comes down to balance I suspect, Boyd offers some stuff that RTS can't do - with our spine I'd actually prefer Boyd - with theirs RTS would be unstoppable

I was really let down by Foran last night, he had some of his usual promising touches but he's leaving too much to Johnson and it's hurting esp at the Warriors. There are entire 10 min spells where he barely even touched the ball.

Australian vs New Zealand spine is not even a discussion.

Our last tackle plays were poor from our halves and we can only wish we had Thurston, Cronk or Smith to go to for that. We kicked it dead, we ran it and came up short, we gave an intercept, non halves kicked it dead, we were set too flat and so SJ batted the ball forward etc...our last play options were important in that we came away with repeat sets and sustained pressure. The platform was laid but the rest left a lot to be desired.

Rapana our best.

Tapau our form front rower this year and he gets 29 mins. Didn't come on until the 27th minute. Kenny Bromwich played more minutes.

Nikorima came on and straightened up the attack right away. Got the forwards playing directly. Kidwell takes him off and puts plodder Luke back on. We lose our way again.

No urgency in the first half. Just none. Kidwell didn't have them ready for this. One on one defence was some of the worst I have ever seen.

3 years ago we got to number one in the world with our gang tackling. 3 or 4 players rushing up to stop the player getting the ball away and putting him on the ground. That tactic hasn't been sighted since our last win against Australia, and ironically they themselves have been using the same technique under Meninga to great success. Aus forwards have just rolled over us for 5 games in a row and we have no answer.
