I don't think he'd make that much difference to the Kiwis at all. ozenzud is right, his selfishness would ruin it somewhat I reckon.

Bulldogs with SBW 2004- 1st
Bulldogs without SBW most of 2005- nowhere
Bulldogs with SBW 2006- Top 4
Bulldogs with SBW 2007- Top 6, went to pieces in the qualifying final when SBW went off
Bulldogs with SBW 2008- going ok, until....
Bulldogs without SBW 2008- pretty much the crappest team ever

And of course, no mention of the fact that SBW only ever played end of year tests in 2004, and after that was limited to ANZAC tests which we never win anyway. Also he was man of the match in the draw v Australia in 2004 and generally outstanding for most of that TN series, although granted we did suck that year and you can blame him for it if that's what floats your boat.
