NZ test team

Fantastic squad. Perfect IMO (although Wiseman is a waste of space, hopefully he won't play). The 11 will be pretty predictable with Martin and Mason fighting for a spot, I am absolutely delighted that these two have been picked and there's no Butler.

Last test he got 6-for not many. He'd have to count himself extremely unlucky, although Michael Mason is extremely deserving of a test cap.

No Robbie Hart! Fantastic selection to see Papps and McCullum get rewarded for good series.

I've just read Butler was infact not 100% for the test. No dramas at all there then.

I think it's the strongest Test side we've named in years with and I'm really excited to see how New Zealand go with a solid pair of openers. The scary thing is we've still got Astle and Bond to come back for the England tour.

That seems right. Ill go with Martin carrying the drinks.

Very glad to see McCullum in the mix now. He's likely to have a far better time with that bat than Hart - and McCullum is at least equal with Hart as a keeper.

I too can't seem to understand why they've left McCullum out of the Test side, especially when Robbie Hart hasn't been a stand out performer.

Martin will probably play, as he is regarded as a specialist to lefthanders. The jaapies have Smith, Kirsten and Rudolph for a start.

Hart was pretty unlucky, but McCullum is a huge talent.

But if Bond, Astle, and Butler (particularly the first two) get back to fitness, we have a pretty powerful side that I reckon would beat pretty much anyone in NZ (yes, incl Aust, that would be a great and close series), and give anyone a run for their money away.
