This test match to me was like when New Zealand beat England in 1986 in England, when Mike Gatting labelled his side the World XI and New Zealand the Ilford Second XI.

but you got this part wrong, he said that with Hadlee in the side it was like facing a World XI at one end (Hadlee) and the Ilford second XI at the other, so he was describing our bowling attack, Hadlee aside. Her certainly wasn't calling his mob the World XI
