""How bad is the Paki bowling if Vetori can get a ton. ""

vettori is a very good batsman (as he showed yesterday) and has actually opened for both his province (northern districts) as well as new zealand.

he,s not a bad bowler either :p

He opens for his province because they don't have another opening batsman.

He has also tried to open in the ODI and been unsucessful.

He can be agressive, has a cut shot and not much else.

He is s very good bowler and a handy tail end batsman, nothing more.

He is a great batsman. You don't get a century in tests for being nothing more than a bowler. ND have plenty of good openers. Marshall, Horsley, Parlane...

Both the Parlanes play for Wellington.

My god, aren't you Kiwis a sensitive lot.

Check his batting average above, 10 in ODIs and 18 in test matches.

That pretty much backs up my opinion of his batting.

Daniel is a very good batsmen and has only been showing his potenitel recentley and I think in the future will show himself to be a very good all rounder shame his bowling is falling away though.

Yeah, he has youth on his side.

If he continues to improve he may be classed one day as an all rounder, but I don't believe he is there yet.

I see in this Test that Steve Davis is umpiring - must be short or desperate if Davo is getting the nod

Actually he has been umpiring very well IMO.

That's why its his first Test in three years - they feel sorry for him =D>

He is very strick on where the ball pitches but Orchie is letting the ball pitch a good 2-4 cm outside the line and still giving them.
