Yes and for 1 reason...

Leaving Ben Ross on the bench the whole second half after scoring more than his average in the first half in my fantasy team.

Why?

The expectations for the team this year from all quarters was that we would run last and there would be daylight to second last.
With an origin class forward pack.
Flanagan's expectations are that we should make the 8.
He has to have those expectations.
Anything less would give a negative perception.
so you are saying he is a bullshytter?

We can still make the 8 with a 2-6 record so why sack for those reasons.
one more loss & we wont.
Why sack another coach and payout money you don't have.
perhaps joey Grima will do it for less?
Why sack a coach who hasn't even completed a full season with the team in his rookie year?
Ask the knights, Souths & Broncos

Why sack a coach that has had this team competitive enough to have with a bit of luck a 5-1 or 4-2 winning record with a much maligned team to work with?
With a bit of luck, cronulla would have stil lahd Greg Bird & may have won the comp in 2008. With a bit of luck, 8 players might not have had shocking injuries in 2009. Right now, there are no injuries in the club with the exception of Morris. Other coaches would die for that sort of luck.

Your thoughts are just crazy.
It's your thread about sacking coaches. What you are saying is that the Cronulla coach is unsackable due to money, luck & being a rookie.
But you think Lang should be sacked?

It's an interesting argument for round 7 of the year. I have opinions on both sides but I will say one thing.

We were never winning the comp in 08.

We were absolute cannon fodder for manly and melbourne, every team was.

We got a false sense of hope against canberra but we were not a premiership winning team that year, we were a lucky team with decent defense.

Bird did not make the whole team.

Souths don't have decent halves either.....great teams have great halves.....Cronk is that much better than Sandow it's laughable.......Inglis will never shine consistently in that side the way it is.

Here's a question for BTR.
If Parramatta are 2 from 8 should they sack Stephen Kearney?
If he had our forward pack, he would be definitely on notice. But he has had less had less games than Flanno did last year.
So when Kearney gets to around 20 games for 4 wins, like Flanno, then he should be definitely read the riot act.
