With some of our permanent NRL squad members leaving at seasons end what are the odds of Teflon actually using the rest of 2009 season to give some others a try?
Morris- gone.
Collis- gone.
Given Halatau is out injured for probably rest of season and will probably move on (hopefully) to fresh pastures next year there is good scope for some interesting options is Sheensy wishes it.
I'd consider moving Ryan into centres from wing and giving someone lse a go on wing. If Tupou is fit he'd probably get first crack. Morris remains on bench as utility interchange and give Moltzen and Marshall time to settle in at half & 5/8 and let Gallant settle in at fullback. Gibbs / Payten can return to interchange when Galloway comes back.
I still would not be surprised if WT loose their next 3 matches (Cowboys, Raiders & Manly) that Sheens himself might announce he's walking away at seasons end. The emptiness of hope for final 8 spot would have vanished and a wooden spoon may be fast approaching. How much more can he trade on past glory (2005) and never fulfilled promise for future performance? Of those 3 matches I only see Raiders as a possible win- the others have more to play for.
