49ers selected Oregon DE Arik Armstead with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

Armstead (6'7/292) was highly touted before and throughout his college career, but managed nine career tackles for loss and just four sacks as a 19-game starter. He also disappointed at the Combine, running 5.10 with a 9-foot-9 broad jump and sluggish 7.57 three-cone time. Armstead looks like Calais Campbell, but frustrates on tape
with inconsistent effort, and his lack of college production is a significant red flag. He offers very little as a pass rusher at this stage.
