For the Scott Fans.
Last night the official site said he missed 4 tackles.
Noddy had missed 6.
Vagana on 4

I had Noddy & scott at 7 & Vagana on 3

2nd pass today has Scott on 7, Noddy on 4 & Vagana on 1.

Now in scotts 7 missed tackles, 3 lead directly to tries.

why are there no calls for him to be dropped?
Why are there no calls of the human turnstyle?
Why are the people that have bagged all of the other centres this year, not lambasting him?
are you all just as inconsistent in your opinions as the Sharks are footballers?
Is it all about how they look? How much they weigh? Their tattoos?

For me it's scotts Ability with ball in hand and the good angles he runs at...Hard. He is a tackle breaker. Yeah, he has problems, when he rushes the tackler he needs to hang on, not fall off, but he actually connects with the attacker, which is more than most previous centres can say for themselves. He made a great bust up the middle, only one, but that is still more than any previous centre made. He has shown more in his few first grade games than other centres showed in many first grade games.

He is physically far better for first grade footy than other centre options for mine.

Im not saying he is playing super, but I also dont judge players after so few first grade games. And for the short time he has had, he looks very good to me. He was running with aggression and purpose.

Vince mellars running stats are for more impressive than Scotts?
So are vinnies defensive stats & the amount of tires he has let in. And the amount scored.

Again, is it the way he looks?
Does anybody think that scott can pass the ball?

Scotts a good attacker..
McGoldrick, the games i have seen him play in Premier League since he has been dropped, have impressed me.. He has got something in attack aswell.. Though he gets in to to many fights and verbal arguements.. This gets in the way of his football.. And thats what makes him look crap..
Bottom line, if McGoldrick cut the crap, he would be a pretty good player..
Scott stiffens up his defence, he would be a great player..
I'll stick with Scott.. But McGoldrick isn't as bad as what people think..

to me it just seems a though scott gets involved more, is stronger, and just has that ability to sniff out a try more than some others in PL.

Also, Scott does need to learn to pass the ball.. What the hell was he doing, running down the touch line, as if he thought he was going to stay in to touch.. I mean even when Simmons ran down the touch line and was getting thrown in to touch, he threw the ball back in play..

Also take into consideration, Scotts artificially inflated figures from playing Manly last week. It would have little effect on a 50 game player but it is an aanomally with a 5 game player

I think Scott is a better player Reefy, that simple. He troubles the defence. I like Vince Mellars too, don't confuse the fact that I think scott looks the goods wit me not liking Mellars and Goldy. You know I rate Ryan highly , I was so happy when he came back and tipped him for origin this year before the start of the year. I think he is playing out of position in centre, certainly for the style of play we have playd this year, I would love to see him at number 1 , I liked it alot when he played there for newtown.

Mellars may have similar build and talent to Scott, but has not shown the same enthusiasm in his ball carry that scott has shown in his debut month. I like to see footballers carry the ball with intent, whether a forward or a back.

Beau Scott has more potential than anyone we have tried there this season and hopefully Raper will let him develop under the guidance of the great Luke Covell's tackling and field placement knowledge.

How often do stats not reflect the true events?

You say it yourself Reefy when anyone questions Campbells defensive stats.

7 missed tackles for 3 tries.
That is worse than Manly derfensive effort against us last week.
its shocking.
& we have people here defending him.
How?
Why?
It was our worst centre performance in 4 seasons by scott last night.
Ima reckons he has potential!
Piotential to what? be worse than Simmons???

Stats reefy , I don't rate em so much with attack and ball carry as I do with missed tackles.

Give me 5 Nutely hit ups a half over 10 Don tweedle hit ups a half mate, see what I mean ?

Give me 3 matty bown kick returns over 7 dave simmons kick returns a half.

Like I said, it's the intent. Forget the stats from last week , I don't mind Scotts stats. or what they are, like you say, he has only played a handful, so if we must discount the GOOD stats from last week due his his short amount of games, then we must also discount the BAD stats from his short career as being artificially inflated, to use your term.
