I believe all the media from the club in regards to da being chopped was because we didnt perform & us missing out on the 8 was not good enough for this club.

Poupou & a few others sang black & blue kearney would change our attitude. Now we are being told this is a rebuilding year after our ceo told us this squad is good enough to make the top 8.

Now the club is telling us this is a rebuilding year after all season they told us failure is no longer a option.

Not good enough. This eels team looks clueless in attck more so than last year. Our defence is the worst its been since hagan was in charge & our discipline is something i havent seen since the early 90's.

What the club is telling us is unnaceptable. Especially when kearney was meant to install all those above qualities

i have to admit that the excuses seem to be flowing pretty thick and fast from SK at the moment
and although i felt DA was handled badly, i was very optimistic about SK's signing
so far - although not ready to theor him under the bus so far - i am somewhat disappointed....

to me its the strange selection decisions, favouring certain players and well, the excuses so far....Ossy did say that DA was fired because the side underperformed??

i didn't think we would be worldbeaters this season, but i did expect better than this....so far this is nothing different to lasts eason, nothing at all, in fact its almost round for round the same???

YOu guys are so funny. You guys got excited because some players lost weight because they had a hard pre season. I can go to a personal trainer if i had weight issues. He is paid to get players to perform. So far this year we are the worst defence team. most ill disciplined team & worst attacking team. It all comes back to the board and their comments.

They promised success, they got it instantly in 09, then it went to sh*t last year so they sacked the coach and then sang from the top of every mountain how SK would change this and that etc.

The issue is that the way they talked was like Kearney was the saviour, he would bring us the success. Which he may well do and he cannot be blamed for anything the board said.

If they had of been straight with us and said that they believe they have the man to fix the mess but the mess is 2 years away, then atleast we would have been better prepared, they deserve all the criticism they get imo........

FTR i still would have bought my season tickets even if they said to expect pretty much what we are getting now!

I'm certainly not happy about it but anyone thinking we were a top eight threat this season is slightly delusional..... we are considerably under the cap with little to no depth and we are playing with a halfback that would be lucky to get a run at any other club.

Am I concerned about the team selections? Too f**king right. Though I am realistic - have you had a look at our NSW Cup side? Outside of Walker, there aren't too many players that I'd be happy to see in first grade at the moment. Our NYC side is young, very young and outside of injury don't really see any of the backrowers who I believe have some decent potential will get a run before the end of the season.

Unfortunately, we will have to put up with the excuses and while I am concerned at the lack of any apparent interest outside of Chris Sandow (of which I am hoping is a furphy to throw the media off the scent) I wait impatiently.

Do I suggest we all sit back and wait? No. Unlikely that a good many would listen as whinging comes far too easily. I'm prone to it myself.

I've always said in this game you must take the good with the bad.

Personally I can't wait for those really cold Saturday nights when the boys play in front of 5K or so at home and no-one gives them the faintest of chances and they come out and surprise everyone.

The 5K are "THE TRUE BLEEDERS" and the ones who will really appreciate the good times because they stuck by their team during the bad times.
