They're also not the Broncos, so there is that working in their favour
They wish they were.

So you're predicting a Superleague war to basically wipe them out?Claims that this is being done in the name of an "expansion bid" is laughable.
This new club will be the South Queensland Crushers 2.0.
The Broncos home games used to be on the "Southside" between 93 and 2001 at the worst stadium to watch footy from.Agreed , I mean there is no "southside" team in the NRL anyway, so not sure that's important
As for @blaza88z pedantry about the name Redcliffe, not sure that that matters even one iota to be honest.
More so because Redcliffe Dolphins traditionally represented Redcliffe City in the BRL (the suburbs of Kippa-Ring, Clontarf, Scarborough, Rothwell, Newport, Margate, Woody Point and its namesake Redcliffe) whereas now Redcliffe City council has since merged with Pine Rivers Shire and Caboolture Shire Councils to form the massive Moreton Bay Regional Council. So a result as an NRL team they want to represent all these areas, not just part of it plus the Sunshine Coast hence why I suspect they will become the preferred name of Moreton Bay Dolphins! I highly doubt it will be Brisbane as they have never been part of Brisbane and would piss off their core supporters.
You've missed my point. "The Dolphins" is rubbish. I'm sure they'll change it. A generic name like "North Brisbane Dolphins" is no better anyway.
If they've been the Redcliffe Dolphins since 1947, they should stay the Redcliffe Dolphins. It's where they're from. Do people in Brisbane know or care where Cronulla, Parramatta or Canterbury are? Why should the reverse matter for Sydney-siders?
The Warriors should have stayed the Auckland Warriors. The Roosters should still be Eastern Suburbs.
Generic location names should be consigned to the past.
So shit they had to close major roads around it to get people in and out lmaoThe Broncos home games used to be on the "Southside" between 93 and 2001 at the worst stadium to watch footy from.
The Penrith v Parra derby should always be at Bankwest....

There's always been bad teams and poor salary cap management, but when has the gulf between the best 2 or 3 teams and the rest of the competition been so stark before though?
You can actually pinpoint the decline of the standard as well. When the competition went on break last year due to the first round of lockdowns and the NRL didn't want to sit around and look like they were doing nothing.
Adding another team to the competition and dispersing the lack of talent even further should definitely help things though...
What I think he meant was the leg-ups they will be getting from the NRL a-la WSW football side, and that Blacktown AFL club.So just like how Melbourne started then.
Why?Hopefully they instantly become every Broncos haters first/second team. They do mine.
How about "The Flying Fins"Are they really just going to be known as "The Dolphins"? That's awful
And if it doesn't work out and goes tits up, relocating the club to Perth will be a breeze.Cowboys didn't call their club Townsville either. Trying to appeal to a broader area. I'm sure we'll see an announcement in coming days.
Gets a bigger crowd at Penrith. The Penrith v Parra derby should always be at Bankwest....
Colour scheme for a brothel. What a shit combination of colours.
Penrith RLFC has existed since 1932 in playing various lower comps. Blue was our colour up to the time we came to grade.Penrith and Cronulla basically got promoted from the old metro Cup
Usually play Parra three times a year. Twice at Penrith Park (1st one is the annual pre-season) and one at Parra Park. The Penrith v Parra derby should always be at Bankwest....
11k capacity is ridiculously small when the best rectangular stadium in the country is also within the geographic area you want to take over or at least get your piece of.
Brisbane Dolphins
