"Playing with 16 and playing with halfbacks in the second row and ex-centres in the second row, I was particularly happy,'' Sheens said.

Why mention that the team needed to be reshuffled if you had an opportunity to strike a better balance in the selection process? It doesn't make sense. Obviously, injuries are beyond the coach's control, although he can always select players and have contingencies such to minimise the disruption caused by an unfortunate injury.

I wonder if he'll make similar comments after the eels game?

Its funny Sheen's was at Pratten Park on Sunday - not sure why. Why would the blokes in reserve grade not be on the first bus out? I know I would be.

With all our front row injuries and not one of em even get a look in.

lets hope so, payten in for payne and i think we're favourites

I reckon its more likely Payten for Ryan, although I have a suspicion that Ryan was named as he may be required to replace either a big winger with a headache or a centre due to injury.

Ok so TNT is out and is replaced by Beau Ryan, glad to see Beau back !

No bench replacement has been named, one would assume (fingers crossed) its a forward such as Tandy, Matesulia, Matt Davidson or Holo Tonga..... this problem is further compounded if sauce is ruled out.

Guess we will have to wait n see...

I would tip Payten to come in for sauce.

Which of course would mean we would have Ryan, Payten, Lawrence and Collis all on the field with, or coming back from, leg injuries

FFS, we'd eat these Eels alive with only half of the injuries we have at present.. Instead we're gonna get torn a new one up the centre.

The injury crisis at the Wests Tigers has deepened with prop Keith Galloway ruled out of the match against Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium on Sunday, June 15.

Galloway is out with a foot injury. He follows the loss of winger Taniela Tuiaki, who was ruled out overnight after a boil on an arm got infected.

Prop Tevita Metuisela and back-rower Rocky Trimarchi have been called into the Wests Tigers squad. Metuisela has played seven first grade games and Trimarchi one.

“We are having a very tough run with injuries,’’ Wests Tigers Coach Tim Sheens said.

“Our other front-rowers in Todd Payten, Bryce Gibbs and Ryan O’Hara are all out injured.

“It doesn’t end there though. We also have lock Liam Fulton injured.’’

Sheens remains upbeat his players can still get the job done against Parramatta. The final make-up of the starting team won’t be known until an hour before kick-off.

“We have been training well all week and the players are very positive and focused,’’ Sheens said.

“Tevita and Rocky are in our full-time squad and have been training well throughout the season.

“They have been busting to get another crack in first grade and now they have their opportunity again, I know they will give it their all.

“We will turn up in the right frame of mind. I encourage the Wests Tigers members and supporters to really get behind us on Sunday and help lift the team.’’
