While I agree with you guys that you can't read too much into a thumping against a side clearly stronger on paper in the trials, it's pretty much exactly the same sort of scenario the resulted in the Eels winning their trial last week and some guys seemed to think it was a big deal.

At the end of the day it's going to be very rare two teams put similar strengthed sides into trials and rotate them like they will an NRL game. So they're never going to be an accurate judge of what to expect Round 1. Eels will be fine, still many big names to come back and a long season for them to find a groove and kick on.
