Only way I'd want him is if Sully signed up before it.

But f**k why waste money on him and not even bother with Kidley?! What a joke.

I say sign him now !!! I'm pretty sure (???) that we could afford him and also Sully.
What is the general thought on what Riddel would be asking for money wise ?
Would he be asking for over 250k ?
Buy Riddel, move sully to permanent 5/8, resign Nuts and buy one more "good" forward. That would make me a happy man for 2005

Sign him but have a clause in his contract that if he doesn't maintain his weight at the correct level the club fines him each time he's over and if he goes over it more than 3 times in a season the club have the option to cancel his contract right there and then.

I can't see why not Military, Its a contract between the club and Riddell and this is part of what the club expects from him to forfill his obligations for the term of his contract.

If he signs I'll love raising my arm as he kicks for goal playing against Saints.

Saints supporters would really be ticked off!!!!!

We will probably lose Beekershark next week if he signs with us though........

If we're buying him for his kicking I notice in rugby league week this week Kimmorleys average this year is better than Riddell's

Exactly right.
Riddell is second string kicker now along with shifcofske & Burt.
the only club to persist with a kicker in the < 70 percentile is us.

Do you think the Sharks should strongly go after El Masri ? Are there any decent kickers who are also good players that are on the market this year ?

Go after Kidley. Fix both the 5/8 and goal kicking problem in one...

I'd rather they went for El Magic than Pig though. I get the feeling the club will really go for El Masri for some reason

Sludge has the right idea about not buying a dedicated kicker.
However, Raper, by persisting with Kimmorley is making a critical mistake.
Kimmorley is a back up kicker. Nothing more.
At 60 something percent, one of the young players should be developing. simmons?
of course. Whether he can kcik now is irrelevant, Anybody can kick in the 60's. Anybody.
Then why not let someobody wh will improve at it.
Kimmorley is a 7 year 60 % kicker. He's reached his peak.

He'd be a definate asset for us. Shame he might be coming from that bunch of @#$% though. Still, we can certainly use him, and we can help get him fit while he's with us. Why not?

yer simmons can kick, quite well actually. He was gunna be kicking against Parramatta befor kimorly got 6/7 the week befor. I believe merritt, hilder and bird can also kick.

and we do want Riddell, he's good. when he plays well the Queens play well. makes some very good DHR's aswell.

why not go for Luke Covell at the tigers he,s not kicking there hodgson is ??? dunno if he,s off contract but have u seen his kicking last year deadly accurate style

Are you Luke Covell or something? Buying a player just for his kicking is a dumb idea. I say we try Simmons or Merritt before we start throwing money at other players, tap our own resources at the club first.

simmons kills it with the kicks
he just needs to get the strength to do it at NRL level
he will kick >80% at his career, i bet you
