ok i need some new bands.

All the bands i have been listening to over the last 10 years or so are not releasing albums. I need you guys to get me onto some new bands that i might like.

The genre i listen to is mostly nu-metal. Bands i listen to are bands such as. Korn( my most favourite band, loved them since i was 14, i am now 22, they suck now) ill nino, static x, sevendust, soulfly, disturbed, fear factory, slipknot, stonesour, sick puppies, 30 seconds to mars, a perfect circle, mudvayne, deftones, the butterfly effect, sunk loto, japunga, tool, nonpoint, trapt, mushroomhead.

OK so any other newish bands similar to those? I havn't had a new cd in ages, no one is releasing albums! I'm bored.

Okay, well I despise nu-metal and consider Slipknot and Korn to be two of the worst bands of all time, however I think I can help you.

First of all, Eelementary has recommendeed a couple of very good bands.

In Flames are definitely a goer but make sure you go for their early work. The new stuff is crap. Pick up The Jester Race, Colony, Whoracle and Clayman.

Soilwork are decent too. A Predator's Portrait and Natural Born Chaos are good - the second has a track called Black Star Deceiver with Devin Townsend singing the chorus that kicks arse.

Killswitch Engage are very, very good too.

Now, you listed FF so presumably you may want to listen to some metal bands in the future (nu-metal is not metal).

Have you listened to Opeth yet? I assume not or they'd be at the top of your list. Buy it.

And Devin Townsend of course - be it his solo stuff or Strapping Young Lad

I'll also add "Misery Signals" to the list.

Coheed and Cambria are a gooden that you should really get the third and fourth album of aswell. I've had both albums for over a year and still love them both. The fourth is probably the better though.

Don't know if you would like all these bands, but a few you could have a look at:

- Cog (Australian hard rock band, really really awesome, and brilliant live)
- Shihad (New Zealand band, just play rock and roll really loud. One of the best live bands I've seen)
- Dinosaur Jr. (Punk/grunge band who have reformed, released an awesome new album this year called Beyond)
- At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command (I know you said you were more into the metal side, but this is Punk/Rock at its best. One of the best albums of the 21st century)
- The Mars Volta ( Reasonably heavy, but a bit more Progressive and out there. Have released 3 of my favorite albums of the decade, and have another coming out soon)

Yeah I didn't list bands like Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, Chimaira, Kataklysm, etc. because I didn't think they'd be up his alley.
