BRL Song Status Update for March 26, 2025

I have found a higher quality recording of Wynnum-Manly's song and have been at work remastering it.
This means the Seagulls have re-earnt their place on my list of remastered BRL songs, leaving only the Redcliffe Dolphins to be remastered once I find a better quality recording.

- Brisbane Brothers
- Easts Tigers
- Fortitude Valley Diehards
- Norths Devils
- Souths Magpies
- Wests Panthers
- Wynnum-Manly Seagulls
7 down, one to go!

I've just had a huge breakthrough with my quest to find the last piece of the BRL club song puzzle.
Every once in a while, I do a basic Google search to see if any of the lost football or rugby songs I'm trying to find have appeared.

Well that was the case when I found search result for a record with all 8 BRL club songs listed on Discogs, a popular site with a large record database that's always expanding and a marketplace where collectors can buy, sell & trade records. The record was released on the A.T.A. Sound label with the audio tracks provided by 4BH Radio, Brisbane.
Unfortunately, this record was already sold but I decided to push my search a little harder.

I popped A.T.A. Sound into the Discogs Marketplace search to see if any other BRL records were still available and it came up with 2 listings. The first one was a listing for the record mentioned above with all 8 songs on it.

The second listing was what caught my attention. It was also a BRL club song record from A.T.A. Sound however this one was a 45 RPM single with only one club song on it and that club song just so happened to be what I've been looking for, the Redcliffe Dolphins Club Song!! Even better, it was still for sale and I purchased it to complete the BRL club song puzzle.

Before anyone asks, I already know how to digitise records. Next update will be when the record arrives next week.

The Redcliffe song arrived yesterday and it sounds amazing on my vintage setup!
I'll be getting a USB record digitiser tomorrow so I can get the song on my computer for remastering and preservation.
When my parents wanted to hear what my vintage setup sounded like, I played the Redcliffe song since the record was already on the turntable. My mum was quick to notice that the song was to the tune of Click Go The Shears but because she didn't know the Redcliffe lyrics, she sang the lyrics for Click Go The Shears instead. At the same time, I was silently singing the Parramatta Eels lyrics which are also to the tune of Click Go The Shears.

For anyone wondering what's on the other side, It's the Redcliffe song.
