Attack wise he has been liiving off scraps all season with little clean, early ball due to the f**kwit in the 7 jersey (well the last 15 wks). He is a class centre mate and a very underrated centre. You don't win 2 comps in 3 yrs with 2 different (and unfancied) sides if you are a garbage player. How did Matt Cooper go in the 05 semi ... or the game in 05 where we belted them at Kogarah. Defensively he is usually very very solid. Last night was very unlike him

This hate of Whatuira is growing tiresome Vicious, especially when you start talking up Matt Cooper, who's hardly "world-class". FYI, since Whatuira signed at the start of 2005, the Tigers have played the Dragons 5 times with Whatuira playing, for 4 wins. Not a bad strike rate. It's usually Gasnier who carves us up, 3 times he's scored 3 tries against us, also bagged a double against us in 2005.
I'd say he's worth anywhere up to $300k a year. When fully fit he's an excellent player. Let's not forget he's only played something like half of all games since the start of 2006 and is still getting back into the groove.

1. There aren't many international centres available
2. There aren't too many 2 time premiership winning centres available.
