I got it last week. Have played it reasonably solidly and as much as I can see it has its faults, I far from hate the game. Mind you, if I didn't like union already, I wouldnt like the game much either.
The world league is a good concept IMO and is similar in part to the Madden franchise mode...though not nearly as deep. All the other comps are variations of a theme, but world league is more involved.
The set plays are good, although slow, I have found if you hold down sprint, it makes them faster. I have found a few that have produced some good line breaks and made me good ground.
I have had forwards make breaks one off the ruck also and linked with the backs to score, it hasn't all just been spin it wide.
The bad side is long also, and has been covered in great detail by everyone else already
