If they are thinking of moving full time we as fans need to remember it is our club and we vote on the board positions and we MUST replace them with a board that understands that we are Cronulla and we will not move no matter how much money is thrown at us moving, to the Central Coast is the same as being punted from the comp and I and I hope many others would not stand for this!

Sharks Fans must act with thier voices and feet now! We cannot complain next year if we move some games if none of us stand up and let the board know what we want if you agree take 10 minutes of your time and let the board know! When you see Barry Pierce and Steve Rogers at the after match presentation tell them what all Sharks fans want Cronulla in Cronulla!

hhmmmm.

yes a bit of a worry.

However, the 3 games aren't locked in. I expect they wont be if we get +15k to all home games.
If we don't, as a "true" supporter, I expect changes to be made, & if it means getting the shorft fall of supporters from different areas, then so be it.

Good moves sharks marketing, once again.

If the "true" supporters don't show up, implement plan B.

Some woman on Brisbane radio the other morning mentioned that she had heard from a "reliable source" that Cronulla are really broke and will take up the NRL's $8 Million and move to Gosford and would be known as the Central Coast Bears, with not a Shark in sight.

Probably an ex Kogarian, with to much time on her hands.

First off I dont like the idea of moving any games away from toyota, but doesnt the NRL offer cash incentives to move games to development areas like the CC. From memory it was a couple hundred thousand, could be way off, but I remember its a fairly sizeable amount.

Hopefully the CC will continue to be a development area for the game. The nrl would be mad to ignore it. BUT PERTH! In my opinion Perth is gone. It's an afl town and now has it's own super 14 team.

Moving the Warriors game to Perth will be a huge mistake and a slap in the face for loyal supporters. They should seriously reconsider. Sludge maintains he can't promote 12 home games. He can't see the solution. Someone should tell him.

I feel sorry for any fans and clubs in Perth struggling for recognition but the game will always be on the fringes over there.

If things were good with attendances, do you think they would be moved? I doubt it.
Also, there are more sharks fans who dont go to the games, for whatever reason, than go to the games, & they must also be considered.

Yes I think we should play 1 game in the CC if we are investing heavily there.

and what do you mean by we must consider Shark "fans" who don't go to games?

The rabbits showed that if you don't go to games youre OUT. And so you should be. If people won't watch EVERY year what sponser in their right mind would back you-al la rabbits. How CAN you make money.

You can't just take peoples money and give them no return( that applies to the team as well- but). If Sharks supporters aren't loyal enough to turn out whatever the situation they can go across the river and fug themselves.
I'm getting tired of being one of only 2 or 3 on the hill if it even looks cloudy.
Very very poor. "I'II go and watch at the R'y or pub or whatever", they say
I say go fug yourself.

If tahts what voting with your feet is the second we don't win every home game , we are voting ourselves out of the shire and out of the comp.

Fair weather supporters.
1. We have to be win all the time
2. its got to be perfect weather

SH!TE that makes me angry.

Sharks supporters are - for mine - losing sight of the big picture here-survival.

2 facts of life. In a perfect RL world supporters would crawl over broken glass to see a game live. In the real world people want a successful team, god forbid a premiership!

I'm guessing it was either Rebecca Wilson or Red V

No way we should play any games in Gosford! If we do it will open the door to all that relocation rubbish. I can put with a Perth game every 5 years or so, but as season seat holder I want my home games at home , ALL of THEM.

It wasn't all that long ago when we were nigh unbeatable at home and this roughly translates to when we had those wonderful crowd averages. It's a Catch 22 situation, you need the performances on the field to bring in the supporters, but you need people turning up at games to spur the team on with their support, attract sponsorship dollars and to keep games at home.

I no longer live in the Shire but I agree with a lot of the sentiment here. Keep the home games at Toyota/Endeavour/Ronson/Caltex etc and reinforce the decision that you made to change the club's name back to Cronulla-Sutherland. What about some consultation?

If the sharks have a good year the odds are that more games will be played at home and these rumors will evaporate.

Would those of you who are season ticket holders purchase again next year if 3 of the home games are moved to Gosford?

There's talk of next season being shortened by 2 rounds (1 home game per club) next year because of the Commonwealth games, so we may not need to move 3 games.

I wonder if the NRL would compensate for the loss of revenue ?

WTF the games are in Melbourne .
The Sydney Olympics didn't shorten the season , they just started it earlier from memory.
