Well the press conference was in direct reference to what you say takes them yonks to set up.
I am not disagreeing with you by the way.

Why hold a press conference making these massive claims if the rest of it is not proven yet?

They seriously come across as a complete shit fight of an organization.

.......and yes I am another who is going to vote based purely on this.
Because I can. :D

And this person and the Gen Y+'s have the same voting rights as me; this is why i hate democracy.:p

Include all the name calling and emo icons you want.

Doesn't change the fact that you have no better idea than the rest of us.

Never said I did, excepting you and flipper's gay cousin, flapper.:D

And of course, El Dingle Dangles.

I view the press conference as a different matter to this actual investigation itself. From memory, Luindy said she could have kept it as an internal report. She (along with Clare) instead decided to release a modified version to the public with a press conference basically saying that there is a shit load of sports people in a range of different sports (NRL, AFL, ARU, FFA, Cricket CEO's were made to attend) doping and involved in organised crime. Those two should be investigated for why they created the mass hysteria without any real substance (pardon the pun) to back it up.

Not a chance in the world I'll be voting for Labor, their handling of this is one of the reasons why. If they let ASADA just do their job, we would still arrive at the same conclusion without the panic caused

Agree.

We should just make me King of Australia, it would be better for everyone...except Manly fans.

I will agree to such rule, if you feed me, provide me plenty of piss, a carton of smokes per week and a bag of weed every quarter. ;-)

I think you will find that all ACC reports need to be presented to parliament; therefore, if not for the press conference the media would have picked it up anyway. And questions would have asked why such a concerning matter was not released for public knowledge but kept blanketed in parliament.

Who you vote for is your right, neither Ruddy or Big Ears will get mine.

Heard an interesting interview this morning on ABC where the 'sports expert', (cannot remember his name but he is a NSW rah rah type) stated two things:

1. That the AFL's ASADA venture has been blighted by the massive egos involved particularly at Essenbong; and

2. WADA have apparently expressed uneasiness about the interference in process occurring in ASADA investigations in Australia. I assume he means all of the media statements by affected parties - see 1 above.

The second comment interested me as that scrawny little man Gerard Whately was on morning National ABC TV news yesterday basically exonerating the players to the nodding heads of the Victorian news panel (who looked relieved).

The news today is that the best chance the players have of getting off any charges is that the comprehensive regime at Essenbong was 'poorly recorded' (I will find that quote).

Lets just hope that Cronulla were just as bad at keeping records as Essenbong - apparently that is the best chance some of the players will have.

The Herald Sun has about 8 pages devoted to this issue today with the more logical reporters noting that this has killed the season, and will make the finals a farce if Essenbong are included.

I think we had best hope the Sharks run a good 9th.

So all you have to do is dont keep record of what you have injected/given the players and its all sweet. If essendon escape because of that then i have bad news for you ASADA/WADA.. Every Player/Club will not keep records from now on and they will escape punishment as long as they don't test positive

She says she decided to go public because otherwise she couldn't "continue to stand up and promote sport, particularly to parents and children, with the knowledge of the ACC report." Nothing to do with being forced to table it in parliament.

That article she wrote is a complete load of horse shit. If you wanted to do the job properly you would pass the ACC concerns onto the relevant police force to let them investigate, let ASADA run their investigation and let everything get done properly without media hysteria and pressure. Let them release infraction notices when they are ready and then publish all the details of the investigation to the public.

That press conference was grandstanding by two incompetent ministers which has placed enormous pressure on ASADA and its investigators to claim scalps

Look if you keep saving all of my posts on your computer like I'm sure you do eventually some of what I say might end up sounding stupid.

But we will know what if any consequences will arise from all this in the first half of August. Now save this post and come back August 16th. I bet I'll be proven right. Answers, of whatever nature they may be, will be known in the first half of August.

This process is closer to the end than the start.

one day to go and still nothing

I'm not arguing one way or the other - I just made the point that under regulation or legislation that established the ACC; their reports need to be presented to parliament; so this report was always going to be picked up by the media. In other words, the shit was always going to hit the fan.
