Haha

Remember when ElD used his investigative skills and concluded it wasn't Monaghan in the photo with the Lab?

I'm not convinced he's going to do any better here..

And why the hell is the prime minister invlolved in asking for the clubs to out themselves?! The prime minister FFS!

Doesn't she have more to focus on that getting involved in this?

Whole thing is pure Mickey Mouse.

It's not hard jumping on the moral outrage bandwagon.

For the record, there's next to nothing now about the timing of the election announcement...

What I'm saying is he isn't going to say anything of any substance at the f**king All-Stars match is he. There is a time and a place and that isn't it.

Idiot

he's not going to say the vast majority of players are OK if he knows they're not

he has the names so is well aware of how many there are

Probably end up announcing they are investigating Danny Wicks, Ryan Tandy, Les Mara and the guy that was in the last underbelly that played for the roosters in 1919. Across those guys there will be at least six clubs.

The clubs that get told they have issues cannot stay silent. Because the other 10 won't. They'll all come out by the end of the week with statements saying "we have not been contacted by the NRL or any other authorities, we are not involved at all with this". And before long it'll be obvious who is and isn't in trouble.

Spot on.

Grabbing my popcorn and beer now.

This is gonna be a hoot.

Gonna be funny seeing the innocent clubs statements flow in.

Not even the players who are having their names dragged through the mud due to all the 'rumours'?

I find that a little hard to believe...

I think there are bigger things at play here

Eventually the guilty will be outed.

Do you think something of this magnitude will be done and dusted in a few days ? It seems everyone is treading carefully to ensure the guilty are punished. Take a breath and wait a bit longer ( as El says) it won't matter in the grand scheme of things as long as the right people are punished

and if they made an annoucement today nobody would know the player/s or club/s

the AFL didn't name the player or club that wasn't at Essendon

http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/...b-under-investigation-afl-20130210-2e69b.html

??The AFL is aware of one case involving the possibility of WADA-prohibited performance-enhancing drug use by one player at one club,?? said McLachlan, before adding that the AFL could not comment on the identity of the player and club in question, or whether it even knew.

they never even revealed the number at Essondon

6 clubs could mean anything.

It could mean one player from each club.

It could mean 6 clubs have been investigated because of suspicions.

What we do know is that investigations & suspicions don't mean guilt.

People need to take a deep breath and gather their thoughts.

Yep.

the report saying there were 5 NRL clubs also said there were 9 AFL teams. Today the AFL came out and said it was one club (Bombers) and a single player at another team.

Some people need to cut the hysterics

Saying a vast majority are clean isn't telling us a single thing. 100 could be doping and the vast majority would be clean as there is still another 300 not doping

The only one that can be absolutely ruled out are the Warriors because the ACC has no jurisdiction to deal with them anyway.

But even if you rule out them and the Qld clubs you can't be sure they won't be affeceted because it might relate to players who have moved clubs. It could go back a couple of seasons.

Personally I don't care which clubs it is. If it is ANY RL clubs it is a f**king disgrace and the whole game will be dragged through the mud for months to come. Whoever is involved needs to be thrown out of the sport for good. It will be the only way the game can come out of this with any dignity whatsoever, to be as tough as possible. Any kind of leniency will only compound what is sure to be an already unbearable outpouring of criticism against the entire sport that no player, official or supporter of any club will be immune to. The whole game is up for the pounding of a lifetime.
