your buddies are gone Maggie and now we suddenly hear Essenbong players might get infractions

coincidence?

More interested in your statements throughout these threads that it was all a beat up and had no substance (pun intended) to it.

Of course, you will deny making such statements.

Semi pro soccer. Essendon still haven't been charged and a fringe FGer is hardly the darkest day in sport.

If it was A League games, Essendon and Cronulla and a few others then it would be something..[/QUOTE]

Mate, I need to question your IQ. A fix is a fix is a fix; it doesn't matter whether it is the Melbourne Cup or a maiden at Wyong; it is the size of the worldwide sting.

You, like all of us, need to wait for the infraction notices.

Wondering whether El Dangles still believes it is an ALP/AFL conspiracy against RL?

Really? Point me to where Sportsbet and Sportstab bet on the Soccer games in question? I can throw my local oztag game but it's hardly the crime of the century as it was portrayed in Feburary.

That's the point here what was to gain from fixing park soccer games? 99.99996% of people have no idea who these people are. Not a good look but hardly taints ALL australian sport as rigged. Like a fringe 1st grader in Earl being on stuff doesn't taint all Sports are drug takers

Since when di they say all sport was rigged? A $2bill organised betting scandal in Australian sport, regardless of grade is pretty significant, you'd be pretty dumb to think the ElephantJuice thing at Essendon and cronulla isn't major given the fall out so far. if you can point me to a time in Australian sport where we had 3 codes being tainted by ElephantJuice and organised betting crimes at the same time please do so.

of course the darkest day was sensationalist political BS but headout of the sand time, we are still neck deep in what outcomes will eventuate.

Mate, I suggest you put your tinfoil hat back on; you have no idea re: sports gambling worldwide.

Not Australian sport. 1 semi-pro comp. What fallout? No one failed any tests they have spent 6 months trying to bully people in to giving them what they need. Even Essendon were gone for unprofessional acts no illegal acts well yet anyway.

Just a reminder that, the darkest day comment was made by an observer; not an official or ASADA rep.

And thats exactly what happens when you call

The CEO of all major australian sports
The head of the ACC
The Head of asada
The federal minister for sport
The federal justice minister

All together for a press conference at minimum 6 months before any infringement notices were handed down.

The whole thing was a major f*ck up from that moment. Politicised beyond belief.

Exactly. So far we have Gallop have a state run comp 3 levels below A League found match fixing.

A fringe RL player 'confess'

AFL suspend a club for 'unprofessional' actions

Still yet to find out why cricket was there.

Hardly the darkest day we were told it would be 7 months later

We will been over this a hundred of times before; the ACC report was required to be released (by regulation) to parliament, therefore the media would have got onto it. So, rightly or wrongly the press conference was held.

If you guys wish to remain in denial, so be it; it will not make it go away (or will the change of government).

Franklin, obviously doesn't understand world-wide sports betting - when a fix is in it doesn't matter whether it is two flies crawling up a wall; it's is a crime and organised.

I must say, I find it funny that Earl has become a fringe 1st grader to many in denial.

I'm not arguing with the points reference match fixing as I agree with you, but Earl WAS a fringe 1st grader - People only know his name now because of this doping stuff

He was comfortable slotted into the Canberra backline - I would describe him as a 1st grader; not a champion or an elite player.

Where did I say it wasn't? it's 3rd tier or not it has no place in this country. Yet no professional organisation has been implicated to me says ALL codes are doing a good job keeping it in check.

As for Earl. 48 games over 5 seasons over 3 clubs is what I would call Fringe FG

Have you heard of the internet re: punting (worldwide)

Think you will find not many players (percentage wise) reach 50 NRL games - just a different opinion of describing a 1st grader player.

No doubt there was money in it. Though you can't control every player to play in every sports competition in the country. What you can do is have checks and balances so the professional one's are free of that garbage.

I have no trouble sinking the boot into soccer but in this case it was hard to predict. Now it's out there they will check imported players more thoroughly

There was no need for the huge press conference.

Fine , release the report. Have a press conference with the sports and justice ministers.

having all those people present was pure grandstanding.
