OT - 2020 weakest comp

[Version IV]

I would say this year, would have to be weakest comp on record

Looking at the teams how they have gone from last years

Roosters - no Cronk and injuries backwards
Raiders - Hodgson injured backwards
Melbourne - slightly backwards seem to have only 1 gear
Rabbitohs - Backwards
Parra - maybe slight improvement
Manly - Injuries backwards
Sharks - Gall, Prior gone hanging around same spot
Broncos - Have dropped like a stone
Tigers - same as last year
Panthers - some improvement but have coach and half who have failed in big games
Knights - slight improvement
Dogs - backwards
Warriors - as normal
Cowboys - same
Dragons - some improvement
Titans - some improvement

The Panthers lead the comp more in that the teams from last year have all gone backwards they have improved slightly but its more how weak the comp is

I would say it's one of the most difficult comps on record.

Living away from families in a ridiculous bubble. Injuries, injuries, injuries across the clubs. Stop start season. New rules to adapt to. No lower tier comp for snorkels to stay fit and remain footy smart. Massive test of mental strength. Partnerships divided as partners of NRL players who were bubbled had to move out if they worked and went into community. No or next to no crowds.

Pretty lonely season for players actually. I'll bet there are heaps of depressed people getting around

Yep not much depth to this comp.

A record amount of basket case teams and the 8 pretty much sorted 6 weeks out from the finals.

Sharks, Rabbits & Knights won’t knock a pea off a chop in the finals.

We’ll probably get in the 8 without beating a top 8 team or maybe one at the most.

Once again the Storm or Roosters will win it with the only other chance being the Panthers.

It’s been a shyte house weak comp for sure.

Pennies absolutely deserve to win it. merkin of a comp for everyone involved. We are building nicely and will definitely be a contender in the future but for now i really forgot my point due to i toxication so f**k penrith and covid.

It's a bit of both really...huge part of us sniffing the top 4 is being able to put wins on the bottom 8 who haven't coped with the interruptions, rule changes, injuries, coaching merry-go-round etc.. we've been very resilient in the face of a LOT of disruption which is a good sign, but we don't have the complete squad the top 4 do. In that sense it's tough as hell because there are only really 5 sides in it this year and Parra & Roosters are slipping in the back end of the season... I can see both arguments

It's only a soft comp for Penrith, Melbourne, Roosters, Parra, Canberra, Penrith and us cos almost everyone else has totally capitulated...
