Last week In our game he gave set restarts like Lollies at a kids party. (Mostly against us.)

Tonight in the Parra Vs Manly games he’s hardly called one.

Players tonight definitely getting way more time in the wrestle.

Has the refs boss had a word in his ear to give it a rest?

Or.

As per usual he just loves screwing us in games he’s reffing.

I’d say the latter.

Did anyone else pick up on Andrew Johns commentary last Thursday night. At one point the six again recalls were rapid fire against the Raiders. There was about four in a row in quick succession.

Johns said something like "The stitch is innnnnn ......." and then pulled up his comment

Minutes after he said, "Some of those restarts were really petty"

I think it's a great rule, easy enough to be exploited by a bias ref though. Hopefully it can be scrutinised in the off season so we can have a bit more clarity as a spectator.

Like all great rules the devil is in the subjectivity. No 2 refs see "too long" or "not square" as the same thing.

The 6 again should be, 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand and any gerbil still with hands on the player or in the ruck gives away 6 again. Zero Tolerance.

It's fast becoming just another new rule being manipulated into failure.

Stand square at marker? Thats dead now. Markers always used to try and crib by standing back a metre. Now it's 2 or more metre. They compensate for not being able to cover the ruck runner by standing off to the left or right by standing back further to get an extra metre to make up the space.

I’m with the anti-Kleiners on this one. The semi-final against North Queensland in 2017 was an absolute disgrace. Flanno was fined $30k.

You could feel the frustration, the Cowboys were a metre in front all game and he just didn’t ping them, however, he always found a penalty late in the tackle count for the Cowboys.

At the ground, the frustration was real which brings me to my next point.

We were disgraceful last week, and there are no excuses. With that said, I noted that Klein was allowing Penrith just that little more time in the ruck.

What about when Nene MacDonald was looking for Klein’s guidance as to when to hop off (which happens often) then he gives Penrith a set restart.

Klein brings out our worst performance as a footy team. I was genuinely confident we would beat the Panthers until I found out Klein was in charge, then I knew we would lose.

He is an absolute shocker, and I sincerely hope that should we make another GF he is not in charge.

He is guilty of premeditation towards certain players rather than just refereeing what is happening on the field.

Yeah - what they do is establish a 13+ lead to the favourite, then give 3-4 set restarts (formerly penalties) between the 65th and 80th minute to the designated loser, to avoid being accused of cheating.

Nope, we got most of them between 20 and 50 minutes including 3 in 2 minutes in their half.

Sorry, I just watched it again LOL

Yes.

2 or 3 in the whole game.

A bit of a joke really.

I really don’t like this rule ,it just saps the defence and gives officials a way in to influence the outcome. It’s fast but has made the game scrappy. But now that it’s in it will be hard to replace it. In a way it increases the element of chance which is what big betting likes.

There was something really off with that game. I’ve never seen anything quite like it
