A Silver star. All power to you.
Congrats ESFC. Best team all this season
Not as dominant as Arnie Claimed they'd be tonight, but you were Champions.

ESFC - 2016 / 2017 Champions.

Well done.

Campbelltown LAC - NSW Police Force
on Sunday

Campbelltown Police are seeking the assistance in identifying the identity of a good samaritan who assisted Police during a violent confrontation at the Campbelltown Stadium following the International Rugby League matches held on 6 May, 2017.

About 9.40pm on 6 May, 2017, a fight broke out within the crowd at the ground, involving up to 50 persons. Police intervened and a number of those persons continued their aggressive behaviour. A 20 year old Rosemeadow male who was act...ing aggressively was directed by Police to leave the area. The male sprinted towards Police and collided with a female Police officer, who fell to the ground. As a result of being struck the female officer received bruising and soreness to the shoulder and a fracture to her toe after falling to the ground. The male then continued to sprint at members of the crowd not involved in the fight. The 20 year old male sprinted at an elderly male, hitting the elderly male with a shoulder and causing the elderly male to fly backwards, with the elderly male's head colliding with a metal seat post. As a result of being struck, the elderly male became unconscious. Medical staff treated the elderly male, who after regaining consciousness, declined further treatment and left the Stadium.

The 20 year old male continued to run through the crowd, colliding into a further female Police officer, injuring her back. Other Police chased after the male, who punched 3 further patrons as he ran from Police. The persons punched were patrons making their way out of the stadium and were not involved in the fight. At least one of those patrons fell to the ground as a result of being struck.

Police continued to chase the 20 year old male and eventually dragged the male to the ground. In the struggle, the 20 year old male punched a male officer in the face. The 20 year old male continued to violently struggle with the male officer who used his OC spray to control the offender. The 20 year old male struggled with the male officer over the OC spray and the male Police officer received a burst of OC spray to the face. As a result of being sprayed, the male Police officer was incapacitated on the ground. At this time an elderly male patron, who was using a walking stick and who was not involved in the fight, stood over the male officer and used his stick to wave at other persons fighting around him, to protect the Police officer.

Other Police then arrived and arrested the 20 year old male offender. The 20 year old male was conveyed to the Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with 5 offences including Affray and Assault Police charges. He has been granted conditional bail to appear at the Campbelltown Local Court on 29/5/17.

Police would like to speak with the elderly male who was knocked out as a result of hitting his head on the seat and any other person who was injured as a result of this incident.

Campbelltown Police would also like to acknowledge the bravery of the elderly male who protected the Police officer as he lay on the ground. Those actions were above and beyond what many would have done and we would like to give that person formal recognition for his selfless act.

Any person with knowledge of the identity of the brave male, or any of the above persons injured in this incident are asked to contact Campbelltown Police Station on 0246 201199 and quote Event E125306802.

Of note, Police also charged a 16 year old Campbelltown female with Affray, Assault Police x 2 and Resist Arrest, and a 21 year old Bidwill male with Assault Police, following other incidents related to crowd behaviour from this event.

If this violence happened at an A-League game, it'd be front page for a week.

Joke all you like, but all the violent incidents at NRL games this season.........and there have been plenty.......have been given little to no coverage.
What a surprise.
The stuff at the tigers vs sharks game got alot of coverage

But this was certainly swept under the rug .... trying to hide it under all the warm n fuzzies of the poly games i guess

The NRL should run a 'country of origin' series every October (i.e. you play for whatever country your paternal great grandfather came from ), with the games played at Henson Park or Lidcombe Oval. That'd be the best test of whether NRL fans are any different to the average chap.

They sound like ethnic clubs in southwest Sydney. The Spanish and Italian communities need to leave their rivalries back where they came from. Just like Melbourne Croatia and Sydney Olympic.
