Well if you've been waiting for Johnny Warren to tell you all about it, no wonder you're not up to speed on things....Soccer Australia and Johnny Warren need to push for soccer to be on fox. I have no idea of this competition and I have not heard a thing about A league in many years.
So you were the ratings. Just where exactly were you watching it MySpace or something? We played really well but FFS if Metcalfe or Duke could hit a f**ken open net….
Mat Ryan didn’t deserve to lose that game.
There’s a lot of players who are going to struggle to stay in the squad and a lot more who probably will stay but shouldn’t.
Are the Socceroos less popular then the matildas.
Or have football Australia dropped the ball here.
I hear no talk about a failed campaign here or if it was success.
Just duck egg.
FA need to be doing more it's simply unacceptable the national team is playing in a major tournament and the average joe blow knows nothing about.
I had no idea this tournament was on.
Not that I would have watched any of it anyway, but as someone who has an interest in a lot of sports I would have expected to get some sort of advertising thrown my way about it. Absolutely nothing.
Soccer in this country has completely f**ked up by not having anything on free-to-air tv (apart from the World Cup). They should be trying to capitilise on the Matildas' success and the interest that was growing in the sport over that period. It's probably all died off now.
For the record, there is an A-League game on Channel 10 every Saturday night, while 10 Bold broadcasts most matches. All A-League and W-League matches are also on Paramount+
I did not know this.
To be fair, I don't watch much free-to-air TV or have much interest in soccer, so easy for me to miss.
I think the Asian Cup is just less popular than the World Cup, regardless of gender. Are the Socceroos less popular then the matildas.
I feel like the one eight years ago was very popular, but maybe I was just more invested. I was living in Melbourne at the time and I watched most of our matches in pubs and there were plenty of people there watching the game.FA need to be doing more it's simply unacceptable the national team is playing in a major tournament and the average joe blow knows nothing about.
All good.
I don't watch much free to air tv either.
I put channel 9 on 4 times a year - 3 x S.O.O and 1 x GF. Even that is painful.
I don't watch Channel 10 at all, and occasionally watch The Chase and 7 news as a lead in to the ABC news.
I watch a lot of shows on the ABC however.
I watch all my A-League and W-League on Paramount+
What about Clarksons farm? Great show
