There's a lot more luck involved in winning cups than a league, due to the elimination format of the cup competition. For example, you could be unlucky in your first game, lose and be out of the comp. Even though you might've won the rest of your games if you'd had the chance to play them. In the league you do get to play every game, so good and bad luck is more likely to come out in the wash. It's why ladder position is a better indicator of a team's quality than results in a cup (or finals series).

There are quiet a few Spurs forums and that one isn't very popular, that first post talks about Paratici making the decision on who the new manager will be, so he lost me straight away. He is assuming Paratici will come back but that decision hasn't been made.

There is definetly more support for him now, this seems to be more accurate and this is the biggest Spurs forum, not sure if you can view it.

On a better note, the Matilda's were excellent tonight. The best I've seen them play for a long time, and that was with an almost 2nd team squad.
