Agreed, although it is slightly different.

Aussies who will never make the Roos choosing NZ= doing it because it's their only option at rep footy. Which still sucks for sure, but it's a case of them choosing Kiwis over nothing.

But an NZer choosing Australia when he has both options available to him (obviously anyone good enough to be in Origin contention is good enough to be in Kiwis contention)= someone choosing Australia over NZ, and that is basically the definition of a douchebag imo.

The perverse thing is that, while the Kiwis have been full of pseudo-NZers for years, Teo and Hunt are absolute, deadset, definitely Kiwis.

I guess if your an Australian you can't understand exactly where NZers get disapointed over things like this.

We need your money,time and experience to develop alot of NZs finest and then they get distracted by Origin and dickheads in their ears play for aus, play for aus, you'll be a chance for origin as Benji has stated, plus being there long enough to be eligible pretty much from first grade debut, as most these kids get over there as teens, makes it even easier to pursuade them.

So they are good enough to play for their actual country or adopted.

Then they have a choice to make turn your back on what you know, who you are, your roots or ORIGIN and australia because yourve been there 3 years or whatever.

Resdiency rule is ass unless your from say antarctica and really good.

Ben Teo is one of the biggest eat-asses going around in the NRL.
He is extremely arrogant - hence why somebody with so much talent is still only a half-decent player.

Ask any tigers fan - he was so half hearted in everything he did.

Why he loves getting front of the camera anytime he can get - or pull of the big hits or come up with big play.

So what he had like one year at keebra park.lol. Which is full of kiwis anyway. Make him a queenslander.

Truth is he has changed his mind plenty of times.
Knew he wasnt going to get picked for the world cup for NZ so changed to Samoa. Wasnt liked in the Samoan world cup Camp hence him not getting picked until they had already being eliminated.
Now he is a queenslander - YEAH RIGHT. Just like inglis.

However in saying that.
Still has heaps of potential and hopefully keeps on developing.
But I hope media rips into him and kiwis smash him in the NRL.
Because he will never make the aussie team.
