Lets talk tragic.

The Miranda RSL and its 'Irish pub in a club'. Now thats a joke.

Who remembers when that used to be 'Bananas'. It was like a school hall with a bar and a dj.

 BANANAS:lol:

I used to work there Newman... Easy pickings there, Geez, those were the days, living in a unit with a couple of mates, a block from the (wannabe) nightclub you worked in, bringing birds home to your parties starting after work at 4am Saturday morning and going through till Sunday arvos, then off to Carmens to watch the Sunday night bands!

as far as dodgy joints go.

I have drank at Heatcote barn a few times and that is up there.
Also my band played or attempted to play at a charity gig for the fire brigade at a sports club thing in heathcote.

Now that joint is your real bust out the banjos for a bit of deliverance type of setup.

we didn't get to play...total f**k up.

I dropped my missus off at a Bowlo behind the mall the other day for a hens night....I had never even taken a second look at it.
Is it any good?

BANANAS was great. Cheap piss downstairs watching the footy then up to the night club for a go.

Between 18 and 20 I was there nearly every Friday night.

I think it was - but the naming order may have been -

Adams Aple

SW10

Tomcats.

Pretty sure that was the order.

I didnt think anyone else would confess up to knowing that place Coolum.
That's is the correct order....don't ask me how I know  :sarcasm:

Best pub when I use to live in the Shire was Engadine Pub especially in the days of the live bands and beer garden out the back! Free bus to Hunters after the pub shut if you were looking to pick up :sarcasm:

Bring back "Jokers nitespot" courtesy of the old Cronulla Workers Club.
 I got in there when I was 15 with the old fake ID, must have been my frilly white shirt and pink leather tie that fooled them :sarcasm: :D

Most of the pubs in the shire are disappointing. Como's good but hard to get to and closes early because of noise restrictions. I don't like jannali pub - the locals think they own it and don't take kindly to strangers.... Royal and Boyles are only just OK. Watched a late night Rugby Union Test at Boyles a few years ago and they turned it off and kicked everyone out with 15 minutes to go. Went across to Hunters looking for a TV and got home 3 hours later.

Even worse - i remember having a beer in the outdoor area at the back of the Caringbah Inn. James Reyne would have been the first bloke i saw play there.

Ah huh i will, i used to go there when caringbah inn closed, went there one night, bouncer said you cant come in with sneakers on mate. So i go outside stash them, walk back in with black socks on, mind you they were fairly classy socks, no holes at all.

Adams Apple.

Oh dear......

Used to frequent that establishment at least twice weekly. Once you left the C'Bah it was a hard joint to avoid, especially if you crossed the road and made it as far as "The Building Society of No Return".

It was the home of Disco Rugby League Cricket and "Whites Nights" after cricket on Satdees.

If any of you old farts used to see a bunch of absolutely written off pissed merkins in cricket clothes packing scrums on the dance floor - I was one of them

Mate, I remember when it was Lesney's Toy Shop! Used to live across the road from it on the Kingsway. There was a barber next toe car park for the old Coles store. The original Stewarts Toyota on the opposite corner.
