How the hell do you understand the logic of the NSW selectors???
Is Hornby injured???

Because...the bloke is picked as 1st game fullback...has a great game IMO in the meantime Mini was chosen as winger..but kicked for discipline in comes Rooney....fair enuff

suddenly game 2...Mini is picked at fullback...WHY?? HOW???

Rooney retains spot and Hornby gets the heave ho.......

How the hell does this make sense....Hornby has been jipped.

What is it with NSW and fullbacks....they screw them all the time..

he was picked at fullback ahead of mini who was picked on the wing..prior to being disciplined and out of team..

I believe Hornby was in excellent form and while I agree mini is a better fullback..for them to have played hornby at fullback and him play as well as he did in origin one....it is wrong for him to be punted....

In the first game Timmins was 5/8. If he didnt work out Hornby could have covered/been used there.
I think the selectors had hopes of Hornby being a second receiver type to Gower because every man and his dog knew Timmins runs the ball and his passing game is limited. (Timmins-Hornby combo at club level too).
Its not unusual for a club to use the fullback as there alternative receiver. (eg.Peach)
2nd game-In comes Fittler. No need for a second(alternative) receiver (Noddy for Gower).
As a result I think the selectors feel a running fullback (and Mini's understanding with Fittler at club level) was required. Maybe he is a better attacker but thats debatable.
Mini's last 2 rep games havent set the world on fire either.
You can bet Gus has got what he wanted here. Fair enough he's the coach but Hornby is stiff going on his form in the first game.

I agree, he's only had one good game and that was against us. I think Hodgson should have been picked for game 1 over him.

i think Hodgson is one of the most underrated footy players going around

i'll go as far to say that parramatta effectively dropped 5 ladder places when they gave him away to the tigers

Doesn't peachy do this as well but better than Hodgson? Peach also sets up try's like a 2nd 5/8 .
Hodgson is a paper champion....who tried to pick up my girl but failed miserably because I'm all the man she needs and some.
