How many f**ken times do I have to say that I wasn't talking about Waugh specifically? I mention it in everyone of my posts and then you come back with something specific about Waugh!!!!

Anyway, we agree that a lot of Australian greats had a year or two too long (at least I think we agree on that). I also get what you are saying about it being hard to get rid of them, but I think Aus could have done a better job in turning them over. It creates a sense of entitlement that you seem to acknowledge yourself when you say "how do you go about sacking the Australian Captain.".

Let's agree to disagree. Actually, let's agree that Brisbane is a hot, shitty, merkin of a place to live in right now.
Amen to that.

Cummins will have to learn how to bowl again, he's played bugger all cricket over the past few years

Yes, particularly with Cummins unavailable for a similar time.

Cummins has potential but Starc's white ball form over the last twelve months or more is another level.

I reckon he is the best one Day and twenty twenty player in the world.

I also reckon he's probably the best white ball quick since wasim.

He was pretty f**king good in the ODIs in England in August (and about 5mph faster than Starc). He seemed to hit every batsman in the head. While he hasn't played first class cricket, he has played a couple of half-seasons in the IPL, as well as for us in the 50 over WC and again in England.

For sure, I just think Cummins will be a better test bowler if he can stay in one piece.

The next level of bowlers down I think might be a bit Stronger as t20 bowlers rather than 50 overs.

Behrendorf, tye etc are more effective in the shorter form.

The difference is the spin though. In the big bash the overseas leggies absolutely dominated local batsmen. Many couldn't pick wrong uns.

Zamora and Boyce were ok but nowhere near the English leggie.

Ahmed was awful.

Is Paris injured? I can't think why he didnt get a go in the 50 overs stuff in NZ otherwise.

Not sure he is a T20 bowler, but seems a gun in the other formats. Could be the next big thing?

If he can add a yard in pace he'll become a pretty tricky proposition. Part of the 'beauty' of having no first class cricket for 6 weeks is that there is no way for a young bloke like him to get into a groove and show whether he's anywhere near ready.

He was added to the squad for the last game but carried the drinks, they played Boland instead, no idea why, he is a pie chucker

I think Paris has a future

It's not ideal, but Siddle will go ok in NZ. We don't have any genuinely quick bowlers fit (other than kids like Stanlake who might also be injured....).

KS Williamson c †Nevill b Siddle 16 (18b 4x4 0x6) SR: 88.88

HM Nicholls c †Nevill b Siddle 8 (13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 61.53
