I think you (and the Daily Tele) need to look beyond the faux outrage for the actual reasons for the shift. Likely the United Nations people just said you can't keep your environmental listings if you have planes flying that low over the pristine bushland etc.

No surprise electorates that border onto that pristine bushlands aren't LNP-voting electorates.
