No, I just think she deserves her day in court.

Police get things wrong sometimes.

We have a rule of law.
Saying that these people did die eating her culinary delights, . I'm mean when she asked where she got the mushrooms from she made up some bullshit story that she bought it from some Chinese grocer asked by Police where is this chinese grocer she didn't remember., She started well blaming some Chinese guy. Kind reminds of the lady in America who blamed some black guy for hijacking the car with her children in it, while she murdered them by driving them into a lake.

Rule of Law.

She comes up with a witness or a cash transfer etc near the Chinatown, then it could be something to corroborate her clams.

Other people step forward with similar accounts of the poisonous mushroom vendors.

That she gets samples tested and her expert witness disputes the findings.

From the reports, I think the magistrate at this junior level, he should recuse (sack) himself on the basis that he appears to have concluded murders have taken place where that is the very question in issue.

If it’s adversely effected her case in any material way, if the grounds are available, her team might consider an application that the whole case/s should be struck out.

Due process and rule of law.

The police have now laid the charges, and as I understand it bail is not possible. The accused's next court appearance is apparently in May.

So this will be a lengthy trial process, with forensic examination of her internet searches to accompany any toxicology or sample findings.

Personally, I can see the three murder charges potentially being converted to charges of manslaughter - if the evidence to prove intent rather than accident does not surface. Same with the two associated charges of attempted murder... But the preceding three charges of attempted murder for previous meals/events (which seem to relate to her former husband and his periods of illness) might have sufficient evidence to proceed to trial as charged.

She’s been under investigation for ages and all that, hasn’t tried to abscond.

Give her bail with a 24/7 leg bracelet at least.

She can report, curfew and nominate stuff for security.

The allegations don’t concern strangers etc. No risk to public safety.

I think that would be better for her well-being, but I read somewhere that bail on these charges wasn't open for the magistrate to even consider... which is why he/she/they had a go at the police request for a 20-week gap until the next hearing date so they could locate the suspected technical evidence.

In Victoria you need to apply and show cause with "exceptional circumstances" to get bail when charged with murder. She got charged with murder x 3 and attempted murder x 5.

Did you know that part of the delay in charging her was because that the dehydrator that they found at the tip (thrown out by her hastily, then she got caught out lying) was sent to the USA for forensic analysis ? They have dirt on her for sure.

We cant do our own forensics? What are we third world ffs?
Dunno, we once sent Lindy Chamberlain to the Big House for 20 years after finding blood splatter in the front passenger footwell of the yellow Torana, only to find out that was sound deadening emulsion, put there by the manufacturer.
