As much as Delboy is a complete muppet, I do agree that we have totally rooted the whole idea of sex and gender and are now in a weird place. Science is being ignored in favour of 'feelings'.

Not something that personally impacts me, but an undeniable observation in my view.
Someone told me about a month ago there is around 70 genders out there.

I thought he was taking the piss.

We have moved a long way from just simply Male and Female

There are only two genders, but lots of variability within both. You can have butch chicks and mincy blokes. Who gives a shit. But zie/zi/zirs etc. is too much of a stretch for me. Its fantasy land.

A pack of shitbags.

In QLD, the new Government has paused BPIC, much to the disgust of the unions. It was adding 20-30% to the capital cost of every construction project. Good decision.

RTBU have a list of 245 demands.
Here are just a few, as documented by the ABC.
It is no wonder there has been no agreement.

Time for a flashback to this week 20 years ago - here's what was making news on November 18th 2004:

SMH said:
So why, with such impeccable pedigrees at the top, is our rail system in such a mess and the Government's relationship with train drivers at an all-time low?
SMH said:
Apart from a series of expensive, pointless and morale-destroying restructures, little has changed. Trains are chronically late. Train drivers taking sick days grind the system to a standstill. Carr is still ordering the minister to "fix the trains".
SMH said:
Other complaints range from "Jurassic Age" work practices that have drivers driving trains for just 4 hours of an eight-hour shift, and workshops so dysfunctional maintenance has to be contracted out to private enterprise. A group is also suspected of using sickies to sabotage a vulnerable rail system already suffering a driver shortage.

Going back even further again, let's rewind another 20 years to August 1984:

Canberra Times said:
The Premier, Mr Wran, had earlier warned that tens of thousands of SRA employees would be stood down immediately if the five-day strike was not settled.

He said the strike was having a tremendous effect on the State's economy, costing millions of dollars a day.

Railway workers would have to understand they had no God given right to bring the State to a halt with impunity

The sooner we build more metros and convert existing lines to metro, the better.

I’d be happy with an inheritance tax.

kicks in at $12m but an off set for charity.

If your kids can’t survive on a couple of million each or whatever too bad.

With all the extra tax collected, I’d be helping out the poor and middle class people. More cash for hospitals and social services.

I might send this idea off to Penny Wong.

@Legal Eel is going to tell me it’s a state power not a federal one.
