Why do we bother anymore with it as a public holiday.

Fake outrage is almost as pathetic as the fake wokeness that has crept into this country.

Tbh i couldnt give a shit if they changed the date because if they did it can actually be a proper celebration. Even though I am sure the whingers will find something else to whinge about.

Australia Day. I'm reasonably conservative on most 'wokey issues'. But FMD I have absolutely zero emotional connection to the 26th Jan. It's just another day off and I also have a close mate who is Aboriginal and not only that, but he works in child protection for DCJ and if he says he's uncomfortable celebrating on a day that was essentially the beginning of some of the worst outcomes in the world for a First nations culture then that's good enough for me.

Do you understand the difference between the comments made by an individual like a year ago vs. the position and assessment of the department of the election?

We work out asses off (well most of us ) take bugger all days off due to the work load and look forward to having a day where we can just all take the day off and actually be.
