Pill testing is proceeding in NSW. Gladys was previously against it.

The opposition guy Mark Speakman reckons there is no evidence that it saves lives and normalises drug use.

News Ltd are saying it’s a “Party Pills Backflip”.

about f**king time, common sense prevails

kids should not have to pay the ultimate price for making 1 bad decision

And I have a relationship with my kids

do you think they would tell you if they took anything ?

festivals go for over 12 hours and pills can be worn off well before they get home, if you have a good relationship with them then that is an excellent situation to be in

Tell that to the kids who have wrapped their cars around a pole showing off..

1 bad decision

so by your logic, everyone who speeds will wrap their car around a pole, it doesn't work that way

not every kid who speeds will wrap their car around a pole so they can get away with it many times over but they cant get over taking tainted pills, they can only get away with pills that are not tainted and this is why they have sensibly introduced pill testing

Yep 100% brought them up to know not to take drugs they don't smoke as they also know it's bad for you.. they have friends that have done drugs smoke drive like a wanker..

They aren't perfect who is but they know what can happen if you make 1 wrong choice.

Ok maybe pill testing is good because Who wants their kid dying before them!

So everyone who does drugs will overdose???

Not all pills are tainted.

I obviously have strong feelings on this matter because I go to a lot of festivals and I see kids passed out on the ground at 3 PM and the festivals go until 11 PM.

I swear some of these kids are 15 or 16 and they can't be drunk as you have to show your ID to get in and if you're over 18 you get a green wrist band which means you can be served alcohol, and these kids passed out on the ground don't have one.

Something had to be done and I'm glad they have approved pill testing as making them illegal does not work much like prohibition never worked.

Advocating pill testing is an admission of defeat no? If you're a parent that's worried about your kids being able to get their pills tested you might as well go and buy them for them and get them tested yourself. That would the (ir)responsible thing to do wouldn't it??

do you think kids can sneak in/take drugs to a festival but not alcohol?

of course, like I said making them illegal does not work much like other activities in this country, otherwise we would not need a police force

where ? there are no such facilities in the communities
