I reserve the right for Grace to wear what she likes.
I also found it inappropriate for her to do so on this occasion.
As others have said - there is a time and place.

I'll swear in the company of those I converse with in that manner and who I know will not be offended by it. But I would not walk in to someone's house having been invited, Albo's or otherwise, with a T-shirt with f**k and Merkin and Shit in large block letters and I wouldn't start dropping those words in regular conversation in that same house in the company of hosts and others I didn't know. Sounds like you have no issue with it. It shows a lack of awareness, respect and class. There's even a term for people like that. One of the mods around here uses it as their handle....
Says a lot about the standards Albo and his advisors are happy to accept.

Letting someone walking about Kirribilli house with the word f**k at a Australia day function.

If Scomo/Dutton allowed this to happen i would have been just as disgusted as well.

For all the great work this Grace Tame may do she undoes it all with her petulant attitude

That’s the way the world is going I think as a lot of social media teaches people to be selfish.

Celebrity culture and kardashians.

Musk calls us a communist state.

It’s just Albo sticking up for kids. Probably won’t work, but he’s having a swing.

I respect your standards.

He’s back;

So you don't think the 'cost of living crisis' is a thing?

Of course it's a thing, people are hurting, but that's hardly in "the country is falling apart" territory. Hyperbole much.

Our inability to get inflation/interest rates under control ?

Inflation was 6.2% when the current government came to office in May of 2022, it continued to rise to around 7.8% in December 2022, and has fallen since to 2.8% PA the September quarter.

So have no fear, our country isn't falling apart.

I realize you're the local Labor party shill on here but sometimes you rise too easily to the bait. o_O

I'm unashamedly a leftist, but simply calling me a shill is just piss poor an effort mate, particularly given the hyperbole above. I'm more than happy to debate the facts with you, or we can exchange insults if it's more your thing.

They want to slow down immigration and fix the housing crisis.

Sure, like when they voted against the current governments housing policy and cap on overseas student numbers?

I want to f**k Elle McPherson, but until I get me an actual plan about how I'm gonna do it, I'm pulling' my pud.

A policy is not what you say you want to do, it's how the f**k you do it.

All the high prices seems to be due to Covid screwing with supply. Governments have pumped money into the economy to help people but reduced supply and more cash, places pressure on cost of goods.

Mostly yep

There's some other factors like the war in Ukraine and no cheap Russian gas for Europe, but mostly it's about those two issues you state.

I also don't believe anyone here is upset about rupert being insulted - just the opposite ..... not saying she can't tell him to go f**k himself

Yep, that points been made, most here agree with what she's saying, but disagree with how it's been said.

What's the point you political nuts love to play with facts as you did in your posts.. misrepresent them just like the political party you follow.

You are free to point out any misrepresentation, again, I'd encourage it.

Or you could just go on casting generalized aspersions and provide no basis for them whatsoever.

Obviously you're not unduly affected. I'm not but far too many are.

Which measure are you using for inflation, Non-Seasonally Adjusted or Seasonally Adjusted, Excluding Volatile Items or All In, Weighted Median or Trimmed Mean?

Non seasonally adjusted, which is the RBA headline rate, but it doesn't matter what you use because if you're discussing "getting it under control", you're discussing trend, and that remains much of a muchness as long as you use the same measure for comparrisson.

So what's your point?

You are the poster boy of a shill

Yet you're seemingly unable to form an argument that counters anything I've posted?

I did not dispute that cost of living is an issue, in fact I agreed it is, I disputed it is at "our country is falling apart" level. What facts would you have me present to prove our country is not falling apart? Maybe a satellite photo?

On the other hand I did dispute the claim of our inability to bring inflation under control, so yes, I provided facts to support that assertion.

Buy hey you are a leftie your all the same..

You seem a tad confused mate.

Inflation (Non Seasonally Adjusted) was 6.1% May 2022, 8.4% December 2022 and 2.1% September 2024 rising to 2.3% November 2024.
Still waiting for your answer on interest rates.

Immigration policy and the "1.2million houses by 2029' have still to come.
