I was calling her out within 6 months of this initial term. Absolutely hopeless.

However, I agree with you about the training issue. Apprentices used to be fully subsidized a million years ago when we had a strong construction industry and apprentices worked 4 days a week then went to TAFE on the other work day. Apprentices were well trained back then.

It's a shit fight now, if they don't rack up the hours they just get their trade boss to sign off on the hours, to say they have done the equivalent of their target hours and they are a trade, albeit a useless one, and their employer can let them go.

I had a mate who employed his daughter as a chippy and signed her off after 3 months so she could get her builder's license, now no one will employ her ask she's a crap tradie and a crap builder.

As a taxpayer, I'm still filthy that one of her first appointments as Transport Minister was appointing Josh Murray to the Transport for NSW Secretary post despite, having paid ~$120K to an Executive recruitment firm and their assessments of the candidates had him listed as third choice (at best if memory serves) only for Haylen to disregard the advice and make a captain's call to put Murray in the position... She would seem to have no appreciation of responsible use of the public purse and it's an obvious trend based on her latest failures...

And, that issue was what I was referring to when I stated that I was calling her out within the first 6 months. It was immediately bad vibes.
You have the facts absolutely correct. It was a jobs for the boy's case.

That's been obvious for quite a while.
Let's look at a few things.
When state Labor came to power, the first thing they did was threaten to cancel metro projects. Instigated enquiries into current metro projects and delayed them. Tried to play the smart game but it has now backfired due to the Rosehill Racecourse debacle. West metro will all but come to a halt once current tunneling is completed as no future contracts to complete the project have yet been signed. What an absolute f**k up.
They cancelled the investigations into 3 future metro lines, which would connect what is currently being built.
Then, 4 months after they gained office, they release this piece of crap.

2 years down the track, no one is any the wiser as really, nothing has changed.
The only reason the WSA metro is full steam ahead is because it is funded by the Feds.

In the meantime, Jo has been out there getting every f**king photo opportunity she can at the opening of all the infrastructure that the previous govt instigated and funded. The city metro extension to Sydenham, Parra Light rail, Sydney Gateway to the airport etc...

Yet, her and her party have come up with absolutely nothing. No doubt, they will pretend to throw a few projects up in the air come next election time, only to cancel or delay them if they get re-elected.
Does anyone remember how many times Labor announced Parramatta to Chatswood rail link, only to delay it time after time and then only build half of it?
When it comes to transport infrastructure, they are f**king hopeless.
