Nothing wrong with having thoughts on what might be going on. Im sure you do. You post this regularly, so you are clearly intrigued. Tell us your thoughts.
My thoughts are that the story is intriguing. It might make an underbelly series one day.

Come on Gronky, it’s not entertainment fare.

It’s sickos plotting to kill innocent people for hate purposes.

As for the authorities keeping it quiet, I think the first priority was to ensure the safety of the intended targets. They had an obligation to warn people of potential dangers so folk could stay away.

We don’t know how many other terror caravans are out there.

If the authorities can’t connect the dots after this astonishing find, we need to find investigators who can.

It’s very serious, the commissioner shouldn’t be in the public eye carrying on blaming people. Shouldn’t be saying anything about it.

Does it matter?
It has been the cause of way more deaths than the Jonestown Massacre, that’s for sure.

Look, I’m not a religious guy despite being raised Catholic. However I don’t have an issue with people wanting to worship their god if they want. What do I care.
But when faith is used to hurt people, or when it’s mixed with politics, that’s when I have an issue.
I’m glad you don’t have an issue, and neither do I with your choice to follow a faithless path.

That said, your argument is overly simplistic, violence exists everywhere. The world has taken a turn for the worse, and in my humble opinion, this decline aligns with people turning away from morality and the positive virtues of the Christian faith. The constant mockery seems to have had its consequences.

How has the world taken a turn for the worse?
The world has always good and shit things going on. What in your mind makes it worse than previous eras?

Terrorism and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism remain significant concerns. Mate of mine just got back from the UK. He was horrified and felt generally unsafe in some parts of London.

Accordingly here in ‘safe Australia’ the national threat level is now classified as ‘probable’ and the World Doomsday Clock stands at just 89 seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been.

As it always has across history. Indeed when society was deeply religious violence and corruption were rampant. Perhaps the issue isn't just about religion, but about human nature and societal structures?

I think you feel that your religion is under attack. Less people identify as religious these days and certainly the Australian census supports this. To imply that societal decline is caused by people rejecting Christianity, rather than considering other social, economic, or political factors is a tad silly.

The constant mockery seems to have had its consequences.

What you guys should have done is made up a word like "antisemitism", which these days goes down like the N word and shuts everyone up. Very clever that.

The Doomsday Clock doesn't just take into account the threat of terrorism and war. The reason it sits so high today is more about the threat of environmental catastrophe.
